According to modern medicine, betel leaves are proven to contain many nutrients. Among them are many essential oils, alkaloids, the main ingredient is beta-caryophylen which helps fight inflammation and effectively reduce rheumatic pain.

Ingredients for stir-fried snails with betel leaves:

+ 1 kg of apple snails

+ 50 gr of betel leaves

+ Perilla leaves, lemongrass, chili, garlic

+ 1 chili pepper

+ Seasonings: fish sauce, sugar, salt, cooking oil…

How to make stir-fried snails with betel leaves:

Step 1: Soak the snails in rice water for a few hours to release the slime and mud. Then, use a knife to separate the snail meat. Take out the snail meat and put it in a new bowl, add a little salt and squeeze gently to remove the slime and odor, then rinse again.

Wash the betel leaves and perilla leaves, use a knife to cut them into bite-sized strips. Wash and chop the lemongrass, slice the chili and set aside. Crush and chop the garlic.

Step 2:

Add oil to the pan, sauté the minced garlic and lemongrass. Then, add the cleaned snails, add fish sauce and sugar to taste, stir well until the snails are firm. * Fried crispy pork rolls with betel leaves

Ingredients for making crispy fried pork rolls with betel leaves:

+ 200g meat

+ Betel leaves

+ 100g shrimp

+ 1 carrot

+ Black fungus, green onion

+ Cabbage

+ 1 chicken egg

+ Crispy fried flour and common spices

How to make crispy fried pork rolls with betel leaves:

Step 1: Choose large leaves of betel leaves, wash them, and drain. Mince meat and shrimp. Soak and chop wood ear mushrooms; dice carrots; and thinly slice cabbage. Then, mix all the ingredients and marinate with a spoonful of sugar, MSG, salt, fish sauce, and pepper.

Step 2: Put the fried flour in a bowl, beat the egg and add a little water, stir well so that it is not too thick.

Next, take a little shrimp and meat filling and put it into the betel leaf in a thin layer and clamp it, do this until all the ingredients are used up.

Step 3: Heat oil in a pan, then dip each leaf in flour and fry until golden brown, remove and drain.

This dish is delicious eaten hot with chili sauce.

3. Fried eggs with betel leaves

The simplest and fastest way is to make fried eggs with betel leaves.

+ 3 chicken eggs or you can use duck eggs

+ 5 – 6 betel leaves

+ 100gr minced lean meat

+ Dried onion

+ Seasoning: fish sauce, salt, cooking oil, pepper

How to make fried eggs with betel leaves:

+ First, crack the eggs into a bowl, add a spoonful of fish sauce, seasoning powder, a little bit of toasted flour and a little water, then beat with chopsticks. Wash and shred the betel leaves.

+ After preparing the ingredients, add cooking oil to the pan and sauté the shallots, then add the meat and stir-fry until cooked and season with a little fish sauce. When the meat is cooked, add the betel leaves, stir-fry for about 1 minute, then add the bowl of eggs and shake well to spread the eggs over the pan. Finally, fry the eggs until both sides are golden brown.
