TPO - Part of the temporary bridge at the intersection of Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen has been completed and put into use, the remaining part will be completed in May 2024 to serve the construction of closed tunnel segments of the underpass connecting Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat airport.
Part of the temporary overpass at the Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen intersection has been officially completed and opened to traffic to serve the construction of closed tunnel segments here. |
After nearly a year of construction, the underpass at the intersection of Phan Thuc Duyen - Tran Quoc Hoan is gradually taking shape. Currently, the progress of the open tunnel on both sides has reached about 80 - 85%. |
After a part of the temporary overpass at the Tran Quoc Hoan - Phan Thuc Duyen intersection was officially completed and opened to traffic, traffic through this section of road became easier, in contrast to the frequent traffic jams that occurred before. |
The temporary bridge is made of steel, with two sides: One side is more than 60 m long, the road surface is 12.7 m wide with 3 lanes and a sidewalk; the other side is about 100 m long, the road surface is 7.4 m wide with 2 lanes. |
The project, with an investment capital of 200 billion VND, is part of the project to build a 4km-long Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa connecting road, which was started by Ho Chi Minh City at the end of last year with a total cost of more than 4,800 billion VND. |
According to the plan, from June 25 to December 31, contractors will complete the entire closed tunnel with a length of 79 m and a width of 5 - 9 m. |
Inside the construction site, many workers and machines are working hard. |
According to Mr. Ta Anh Dung (representative of CK4 Group Joint Stock Company - the temporary bridge construction unit), the temporary bridge construction is part of the traffic safety assurance category when constructing the closed tunnel of package No. 9 of the project to build the road connecting Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City. |
According to Mr. Dung, currently the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, investors, contractors, traffic police, localities... have planned to coordinate traffic flow, arrange forces to be on duty to regulate traffic, lighting, signs... to limit traffic congestion during the construction of the closed tunnel. |
The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, connecting directly to Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. |
The project also creates a new road axis to access the airport, breaking the monopoly of Truong Son road, reducing traffic congestion in the area, which has been overloaded for many years. |
