Having drawn 1-1 with Chelsea in the opening round of the season, Liverpool head into the match against Bournemouth unbeaten in their last 12 Premier League games. The Reds are also unbeaten at Anfield in the same number of games. This time last year, Jurgen Klopp's side tore apart Bournemouth's defence 9-0, equalling the record for the biggest margin of victory in Premier League history.
Bournemouth surprisingly opened the scoring
Not changing the lineup compared to the opening match, coach Klopp put rookie Endo on the bench after the Japanese team captain just joined the Anfield team 1 day ago.
With the team not yet settled, a mistake by Liverpool's defense in the 3rd minute was punished when Antoine Semenyo took advantage to score the opening goal for the away team. Conceding an early goal, the home team rushed to attack the opponent.

However, with only 10 men, Liverpool scored a goal after Diogo Jota's close-range finish in the 62nd minute. Bournemouth only created a better game in the second half, but their attack was not sharp enough to penetrate the "Red Brigade" defense and the excellence of goalkeeper Alisson.
With a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, Liverpool have 4 points after 2 rounds. In the matches at the same time, away teams Brentford and Brighton both played impressively when defeating Fulham (3-0) and Wolves (4-1) respectively.
