According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 25, a cold air mass is moving south from the North. It is forecasted that from the night of December 26 to December 27, this strengthened cold air mass will affect the Northeast and North Central regions.

From the night of December 27, the cold air will be strengthened and affect the Northwest and Central Central regions. In the North and the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue, the weather will continue to be cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold.

At sea, from December 27, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind will increase to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves will be 2-3 m high. Heavy rain and localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

It is forecasted that on December 26, the tropical depression will be at about 9.2 degrees North latitude; 108.8 degrees East longitude, over the sea from Binh Thuan to Bac Lieu and continue to weaken into a low pressure area.

The southwestern sea area of ​​the Central East Sea, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ba Ria-Vung Tau (including Phu Quy island district) has strong winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, waves 2-4 m high; rough seas. Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and big waves.

Currently, in the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen, there is rain, locally moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. It is forecasted that on the day and night of December 25, in the Central and South Central regions, there will be rain, moderate rain, locally heavy rain.
