Saigontel Green Alliance coordinates research on emission reduction in Ho Chi Minh City

At the roundtable discussion connecting US businesses and Vietnamese localities organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in San Francisco (USA) on November 15, under the witness of President Vo Van Thuong, representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Saigontel Green Alliance signed a memorandum of understanding to coordinate research and analysis on opportunities to reduce emissions in the city. At the same time, the two sides also agreed to cooperate in research, development, and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the transportation sector.

Under the witness of the President, Saigontel Green Alliance and representatives of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee exchanged a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.

Saigontel Green Alliance commits to supporting Ho Chi Minh City in researching technologies and roadmaps for developing low-emission renewable energy sources, net zero emissions, energy storage technology, carbon capture and utilization technology; Supporting relevant agencies and organizations in the city to promote low-emission reduction, net zero emissions in the field of construction materials production as well as developing green urban areas, ecological urban areas, green buildings, and sustainable urbanization. Regarding cooperation in research, development, and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the transportation sector, after signing the memorandum of understanding, the parties expect to propose to the city solutions on smart city traffic initiatives. At the same time, at this event, Saigontel Green Alliance also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the People's Committee of Hung Yen province to coordinate research and analysis on opportunities for net emission reduction. The parties noted their commitment to support Hung Yen in achieving its green growth goals with objectives such as researching technologies and roadmaps for developing low-emission renewable energy sources, promoting emission reduction in the transport sector, developing agriculture towards ecological agriculture, organic agriculture, low emissions, protecting and restoring resources, developing natural ecosystems, etc.

The Saigontel Green Infrastructure Development Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Green Alliance) includes Saigontel Company of Vietnam with partners Energy Capital Vietnam Company (USA), Allotrope Partners Company (USA) and Maius Company (Switzerland), which are companies with extensive experience in the field of carbon reduction plan analysis and consulting, clean energy project development and green infrastructure, attracting green investment capital in the US and Europe. Currently, the Alliance has consulted and accompanied many localities such as Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Long An, etc. on assessing the current situation and aiming to reduce emissions in localities; giving comments on key projects, proposing plans to orient towards net emission reduction; coordinating policy development, implementing emission reduction plans and improving competitiveness; attracting green finance from foreign investors and multinational corporations.
