The Houthi-run al-Masirah TV channel reported that on the evening of May 30, US and British warplanes conducted six airstrikes on Yemen's capital Sanaa.

Three airstrikes targeted al-Nahdayn Mountain in central Sanaa, one near Sanaa airport in the north of the city and two additional airstrikes targeted the Jarban area of Sanhan district in the southernmost part of Sanaa. In addition, US-British coalition warplanes carried out several airstrikes on the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah.
The Houthis began launching anti-ship ballistic missiles and drone attacks last November against ships believed to be linked to Israel passing through the Red Sea in a show of solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
In response, the US-UK naval coalition, stationed in the waters since January this year, has carried out regular airstrikes and missile attacks against Houthi targets to deter the group, but the approach has only led to an expansion of Houthi attacks on US and British commercial and naval vessels.
