Linking to promote investment promotion activities and tourism development cooperation

On November 19, in Hai Duong city, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Tourism Associations of Thai Nguyen, Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces held a conference to promote tourism in Thai Nguyen province.

The conference introduced and promoted the land, people, potential, strengths and tourism products of Thai Nguyen province; thereby, linking and promoting investment promotion activities and tourism development cooperation with other provinces.

Mr. Le Ngoc Linh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen, said that Thai Nguyen has beautiful natural landscapes, converging many valuable historical and cultural relics to develop many attractive types of tourism. The province currently has over 1,000 relics, including 1 special national relic, 57 national relics, 23 heritages included in the list of national intangible cultural heritages, nearly 300 craft villages, over 230 OCOP products. The province has a rich and diverse ethnic composition including 51 ethnic groups, many of which still preserve unique cultural features.

Thai Nguyen is also the cradle of revolution with red addresses such as: Dinh Hoa National Special Relic Site, National Historical Relic Site, memorial site for the 915th Company and 91st Bac Thai Youth Volunteers. The province also has many famous landscapes such as Nui Coc Lake, Ghenh Che Lake, Phuong Hoang Cave - Suoi Mo Ga. Thai Nguyen is the province with the largest tea area in the country. Tea trees and tea products have been associated with Thai Nguyen people for a long time.

With the goal of enhancing the competitiveness of tourism products, making Thai Nguyen tourism a bright spot on the tourism map of Vietnam, the province is currently focusing on building and developing 4 main tourism product lines: Cultural, spiritual, historical, and origin tourism; eco-tourism, resort tourism; community and rural tourism associated with tea culture; sports tourism, and adventure cave exploration.

Also at the Conference, delegates shared and discussed the tourism potential of Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen and Hai Duong and the tourism development opportunities of Thai Nguyen in association and cooperation with other provinces.

Informing that Thai Nguyen's destination products and services are increasingly being improved and innovated, Thai Nguyen travel businesses have introduced potential links with travel businesses in Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces, such as: 1-day tours to the source, 1-day tours to experience culture and spirituality in the province, and tours linking with other provinces from 2 to 4 days.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen, Pham Van Hieu, said that the locality has advantages in transportation, local products have great potential for tourism with many relics, ecological urban areas, advantages in transportation, the province wants to attract tourism businesses to Hung Yen, connect tours to welcome more tourists to the province.

In the near future, the province is expected to implement many large projects with the support of large-scale investors to create a tourism brand for Hung Yen, create cultural highlights, promote the potential for developing agricultural tourism, craft village tourism, and in the future, it is expected to build a road along the Red River connecting heritage sites and restoring the ancient Pho Hien model.

Representatives of Hai Duong and Hung Yen Tourism Associations all said that Thai Nguyen tourism has a lot of potential and opportunities for development. Thai Nguyen needs to promote tourism through campaigns; at the same time, develop unique and quality tourism products; and connect tourism businesses. Tourism businesses also need the support of state agencies; build diverse tour packages...
