The programs are expected to be organized similarly to many major film festivals in the world, bringing the world, Asian, Vietnamese and Ho Chi Minh City cinema picture to the audience.

Vietnam Panorama is a vivid story that shapes contemporary Vietnamese cinema, a window for viewers to "look into the soul of a nation".

Ho Chi Minh City on Screen selects films that reflect the richness, cultural dynamism and creative spirit of Ho Chi Minh City. Cinema Crossroads aims to showcase the cinematic journey across borders, honoring the deep connections and cultural dialogue between cities and countries.

Audiences in Vietnam will have the opportunity to meet and interact with him for the first time through live talks. Kore-eda Hirokazu's representative works will also be screened within the framework of HIFF 2024.

Liên hoan phim quốc tế TP.HCM vì sao đến trễ? Why is the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival late?

In 2006, the Vietnam Cinema Association developed a project to organize an international film festival in Ho Chi Minh City. But after 17 years, that intention has just come true with the Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival 2024 (HIFF 2024).
