According to Mr. Hoang Thai Ha - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Diplomatic Service Department, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, the 2024 International Food Festival will have the theme "Gastronomy of Unity - Connecting Cuisine". This is not only an opportunity to introduce and promote the culinary culture of countries, but also an opportunity to promote the cultural beauty of Vietnam, promote cultural diplomacy, promote the national image and expand and further promote the spirit of international cooperation.
Instead of being limited to 1 day like previous years, the 2024 International Food Festival has expanded both in duration and space. Taking place over 2 days. The festival does not simply stop at introducing special dishes from Vietnam and abroad, but also brings a special culinary experience journey with more than 70 booths from about 60 countries.
Here, along with learning and enjoying the culinary flavors associated with the cultures of the countries, attendees can also admire the elaborate performances of dishes from professional chefs, including famous dishes on the Vietnamese culinary map, such as: Pho, spring rolls, sticky rice, cakes..., along with typical dishes of the three regions of the North, Central and South.
Culinary artist Le Thi Thiet - Member of the Organizing Committee said that the new point at this year's Festival is that in addition to performing and introducing dishes, the Organizing Committee will introduce Vietnamese spices so that visitors, especially international visitors, can understand more deeply about their combination with foods, contributing to the identity of Vietnamese culinary culture.
“This time, one of the dishes we will bring to the Festival is bread from three regions. Although they are all breads, each region has its own way of preparing the fillings and using its own spices. Through the bread, we want visitors to feel the diverse regional culinary colors of our country,” said artisan Le Thi Thiet.
