The announcement ceremony of the 3rd Ho Do International Music Festival in Ho Chi Minh City has just taken place in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Light Music Center in coordination with other units.
Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that after 2 seasons, Ho Do has made proud progress. The international element of the event is also clearly demonstrated with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby affirming the position of this music brand to international friends.
“I hope this music festival will be a place to start, spread creativity and sharing, where hearts that love music will beat together. The city hopes this will become an annual music festival, bearing the mark of Vietnamese culture, with a solid position on the world music festival "map", she shared.

Musician Huy Tuan - General Director of the program hopes to bring Vietnamese music into the flow of modern music, preserve and spread national cultural values to the world, and at the same time bring music closer to the public through a more modern form.
In response to the opinion that the artists participating in the first two seasons "did not have big names" and "did not attract young audiences", musician Huy Tuan said: "We have concerns about whether the performing artists are attractive enough to viewers, or whether the artists we want to invite have time to come to Vietnam. In the first two years, the program had a modest budget, so we had to calculate which artists to invite to be suitable. However, the program's standards are very high. The artists invited to participate may not be too popular with the Vietnamese public, but they all have names at international music festivals. We are very honored to have their company."
Regarding the artists participating this year, musician Huy Tuan said that he will gradually reveal them in the coming time. Not only the names coming from Western markets such as France, Belgium, Spain..., the organizers decided to increase the number of artists from neighboring countries in the Asian region - places with similar cultural characteristics and musical tastes to Vietnamese audiences such as Thailand, Indonesia, Japan...
In addition to inviting artists from the US/UK and the world's top DJs, the organizers have invited stars from K-Pop for the first time. Huy Tuan revealed that he is currently working with one of the leading entertainment companies in Korea - SM Entertainment. The male musician confirmed that the number of Kpop stars appearing in the program will not stop at just one.
In addition, the program will feature musicians, music producers and some of the country's top vocalists.
“Vietnam is gradually becoming a favorite destination for big artists on world tours. This is also a pressure for the organizers of Ho Do 2023, but we take it as motivation to bring the audience better experiences,” musician Huy Tuan expressed.

As planned, the festival will last from September to the end of December 2023 in the center of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Throughout the project, there will be 4 shows with the theme Ho Do Inspiration and 3 shows with the theme HOZO Super Fest. The shows will be held in the last week of each month, starting from September to November 2023 at Lam Son Park, District 1.
The Ho Do super fest event series will conclude the journey, gathering famous domestic and foreign artists taking place on the nights of December 22, 23, and 24 on Nguyen Hue walking street and Le Loi street.
Along with the shows, there are also sideline activities such as "HOZO University tour", "Music Video Theme song", Workshops to learn about international music trends, talent search programs... on multiple platforms, from online to offline, to create many playgrounds, build and develop a community of music and culture lovers in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City.
