Will Slovakia soon win the ticket?
Buoyed by their surprise win over Belgium, Slovakia will be aiming for three more points when they face Ukraine in their second Group E match of Euro 2024 at 8pm on June 21. In contrast, Ukraine are looking for their first points of the tournament after a heavy defeat in their opening match against Romania.
Slovakia determined to win tickets soon
Slovakia may have been the lowest-ranked team in Group E, but that didn't stop them from coming out on top in their opening game of the tournament, pulling off a surprise 1-0 win over Belgium. While they may have had a bit of luck, Slovakia were ultimately rewarded for their brave performance, ending Belgium's 15-match unbeaten run.
The Falcons have now won their opening EURO finals match in a row after beating Poland 2-1 in their first match at EURO 2020. However, Slovakia lost their next two games and were eliminated from the group stage at EURO 2020, so they know they still have a lot of work to do to reach the last 16.
Francesco Calzona's side will be aiming for another solid defensive performance, having kept three clean sheets in their last three games. After reaching Germany via the play-offs, Ukraine were disappointed with their opening game performance against a determined Romania side, losing 3-0.

Poland and Austria have no way back
Poland and Austria meet at the Olympiastadion in Berlin at 11pm on 21 June and both know they cannot afford another defeat if they are to maintain their hopes of progressing from Group D. Both teams started EURO 2024 on the back of defeats, with Poland losing 2-1 to the Netherlands and Austria losing 1-0 to France.
Forget about the defeat in the opening match
When Poland took the lead against the Netherlands in their opening game thanks to a superb Adam Buksa header, it looked as though the absence of Robert Lewandowski would not be a concern for them. However, Michal Probierz's side could not hold their own and their eight-game unbeaten run ended. While the return of Robert Lewandowski will be a huge boost, the Eagles will have to find a way to stop an Austrian side led by Ralf Rangnick.
Austria were on a seven-game unbeaten run heading into their opening Euro 2020 match against France, and as Rangnick has said, the focus will be on the remaining two games in the group. Historically, the two nations have a history of rivalry, but their only two meetings in 16 years were in 2019, with Poland winning away in a Euro 2020 qualifier by a solitary goal before the reverse fixture ended goalless.
France vs Netherlands
The battle between the Group D giants will be the highlight of EURO 2024 at 2am on June 22, when the Netherlands and France go head-to-head at Red Bull Arena to secure their place in the round of 16.
Ronald Koeman's 'Orange Storm' came from behind to beat Poland 2-1 in their opening match, while 'Les Bleus' also narrowly beat Austria. With a superior scoring record over France, the Netherlands will secure their place in the top two with a win in the match between the two teams.
Before meeting the Netherlands again in the same EURO finals, France easily defeated the Netherlands 4-0 at this tournament at home in 2021 and also won 2-1 in the preliminary round, leaving coach Didier Deschamps' team with certain worries.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid new boy Kylian Mbappe is sure to be the centre of attention despite not scoring in his debut. The 25-year-old superstar will likely wear a face mask to protect his nose after a collision with Kevin Danso that resulted in a broken nose. France will also progress to the last 16 if they beat the Netherlands and Deschamps' side have shown they have a resilient defence with three clean sheets.
