Reporting on the results of reprinting, researching, compiling and publishing the book History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Comrade Bui Mai Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Standing Member of the Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Compilation Council said: Fully aware of the significance, importance and necessity of collecting, researching and compiling the History of the local Party Committee, in order to preserve the historical values and glorious revolutionary traditions of the Party Committee and people of Ninh Binh province; Implementing Directive No. 20-CT/TW, dated January 18, 2018 of the Central Party Secretariat on continuing to strengthen and improve the quality of research, compilation, propaganda and education of Party history, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued a Plan to republish two books: History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume I (1930-1975), History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume II (1975-2000) and research, compilation and publication of the book History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2001-2020).
The implementation process has received close guidance from the Steering Committee, the active participation of members of the Editorial Council, and the Working Group has worked hard to collect and exploit documents and materials; look up, compare, verify, and supplement historical information and data from published publications about the province, thereby adding many valuable documents and materials on the history of the Provincial Party Committee.
In particular, for volume 3, after 5 times of asking for comments and 2 times of organizing workshops, we received valuable and dedicated contributions from former provincial leaders through the periods; the accompaniment and coordination of agencies and units in the province; the coordination and support in many professional aspects of the Institute of Party History, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the National Political Publishing House Truth, the Editorial Council worked seriously, responsibly, meticulously, using historical research methods; compiled the manuscript to ensure that it meets the requirements of a local Party history book, thereby contributing to clarifying many important events, breakthroughs, bold innovation in thinking in the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee as well as the achievements that the Party Committee and people in the province have achieved.
The book series is a scientific work that has been carefully and meticulously researched, compiled, absorbed, and edited, strictly following procedures and regulations, and by December 2023, the book series had completed printing and publishing with a quantity of 1,500 sets. With 3 thick volumes, more than 1,000 pages, the book series History of the Provincial Party Committee has vividly recreated the stages of development, the efforts, sacrifices and contributions of the Party Committee and people of the whole province for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation from 1930 to 2020.
Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the leader of the Truth National Political Publishing House - the unit coordinating the task of editing and publishing the book series, said: During the process of publishing the book series, the Editorial Board of the Publishing House reviewed, edited, and compared the documents, historical events, characters, places, etc. mentioned in the manuscript with published books and official documents, to ensure the accuracy, scientific nature and logic of the book series. At the same time, the Editorial Board discussed, asked for comments and appraisals from a number of experts and scientists to complete the content of the manuscript.
Appreciating the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Steering Committee, the Editorial Council and the responsible and effective coordination of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, relevant agencies of Ninh Binh province, the leaders of the National Political Publishing House Su That said that recreating the history of the Provincial Party Committee through the book series History of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee with a huge amount of information and events over a period of 90 years (1930 - 2020) is an extremely important and meaningful task.
On this occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House proposed that the Provincial Party Committee consider and have a policy to publish this book series in the form of e-book versions such as multimedia books, audio books, etc. to contribute to spreading the value of the book series to a large number of readers inside and outside the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for reprinting, researching, compiling and publishing the Provincial Party History, respectfully thanked the former provincial leaders for their dedication and valuable contributions; the companionship and coordination of agencies and units in the province; the coordination and professional support of the Institute of Party History, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Truth National Political Publishing House in the process of researching, compiling and publishing the book series.
At the same time, we acknowledge and highly appreciate the Editorial Council, especially the leaders, cadres and civil servants of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - the Standing Office of the Steering Committee and the Editorial Council for being serious, responsible, closely following the research methods of historical science; meticulous, thorough and scientific in the process of researching, editing and compiling the book series.
Emphasizing the important role of compiling and publishing historical books, the Provincial Party Secretary said that: awareness of history is an objective need of people to know more about their origins. Through compiling and publishing historical books, it contributes to summarizing theory and practice; drawing lessons from the process of implementing the Party's policies and guidelines through each historical period, serving as a foundation and driving force to determine the vision, leadership orientation, and direction for the comprehensive and sustainable development of Ninh Binh province in the present and the future.
Therefore, the book series History of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee (from 1930 to 2020) has an important meaning, summarizing the glorious historical stages of the Party Committee, recording important milestones and summarizing historical lessons of profound practical value; is an important document serving the research, propaganda, and education of historical traditions, contributing to enhancing pride in the glorious tradition of the Provincial Party Committee. In addition, the publication and distribution of the book series also meets the needs of readers inside and outside the province to learn about the history of Ninh Binh province in general and the history of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee in particular.
To spread the great and profound value of the book series, and soon bring the book series to a large number of cadres, party members and people inside and outside the province, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently distribute the correct and sufficient number of books to the subjects approved by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Immediately after the launching ceremony of the book series, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department is requested to direct media agencies, newspapers and relevant agencies to promote the promotion of the book series in many diverse, practical and suitable forms, and at the same time, promptly digitize the book series and post it on the Provincial Party Committee's Electronic Information Portal, contributing to quickly spreading the values and core content of the book series to a large number of cadres, party members and people inside and outside the province.
District Party Committees, City Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; agencies and units in the province integrate the dissemination and introduction of the core content of the book series into the activities of Party Committees, Party cells, associations and youth unions. The Provincial Political School, the Political Centers of District and City Party Committees research and compile teaching materials in training and fostering programs; the Department of Education and Training directs schools in the province to research and supplement lectures on the history of local Party Committees of the schools.
The Provincial Party Secretary also assigned the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to regularly review, filter, and absorb opinions from cadres, party members, and people, especially opinions from former provincial leaders of different periods, veteran revolutionaries inside and outside the province to continue updating data and republishing the book series in accordance with the actual situation of the locality and each historical period.
