Summer opening ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and launching the nationwide swimming training to prevent drowning in 2024

On May 16, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the summer opening ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and launched a campaign for the whole population to practice swimming to prevent drowning in 2024.

The Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and the National Swim Training Campaign to Prevent Drowning this year attracted the participation of 1,000 students, teenagers and their parents. With many useful activities for students and teenagers such as: Organizing professional training for grassroots instructors, swimming skills classes for children, the 2024 Ninh Thuan Provincial Swimming Competition and many other cultural, artistic and sports programs.

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, beat the drum to launch the summer opening ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and launched the nationwide swimming practice to prevent drowning in 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to focus on organizing well the Professional Training Classes for basic instructors, Swimming Skills Classes for Children, Ninh Thuan Provincial Swimming Competition in 2024 and cultural, artistic, physical education and sports programs to ensure practicality, effectiveness and usefulness. For the Provincial Youth Union, direct the units in charge and advise on the effective implementation of the activities of the Summer Activities Steering Committee such as: "Semester in the Army" Program, "Learning to be a Police Soldier" in 2024 and summer activities in localities and units; strongly promote the summer youth volunteer movement, focus on improving the quality of summer review, and at the same time, promote the work of mobilizing students to go to class.

Departments and branches implement action programs for children, strengthen training on first aid for drowning accidents and injuries in children, ensuring children have a fun, rewarding and safe summer. People's Committees of districts and cities organize the Summer Opening Ceremony, Children's Olympic Day and launch the nationwide swimming practice to prevent drowning during the summer to ensure the achievement of goals, requirements and suitability with local conditions. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on businesses, organizations and individuals to join hands to contribute human resources, material resources, invest in facilities, equipment, sports equipment and swimming pools so that the entire population has the conditions to practice sports to improve health, prevent diseases, and reduce drowning accidents for children and the community.
