On the morning of October 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Workers Support Center held a mass wedding ceremony for 82 couples. They were young workers, laborers in difficult circumstances, and people with disabilities.
Mr. Bui Thanh Thuan (40 years old) and Ms. Nguyen Thi La (38 years old) were the only disabled couple at this year's mass wedding. "My husband and I are really happy and touched. From the time we fell in love until now, we never thought that one day we would have such a solemn and meaningful wedding ceremony," Mr. Thuan shared.
From early morning, 82 couples participating in the 2023 mass wedding ceremony performed the flower offering ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park (Nguyen Hue walking street).
"I learned about the mass wedding through a friend's introduction. My husband and I have been in love for nearly ten years, but this is the first time we have had a proper wedding like this," said Vo Duc Than (32 years old).
The mass wedding program not only has humane meaning when helping many couples in difficult circumstances, but also contributes to honoring the beauty of national cultural traditions, encouraging civilized and economical weddings, and demonstrating the spirit of mutual love.
Through 14 times of organization, Ho Chi Minh City Youth Workers Support Center has accompanied agencies, unions, and businesses in the city to join hands to help more than 1,156 young worker couples in difficult circumstances to walk down the aisle through the mass wedding ceremony program.
Immediately after offering flowers to President Ho Chi Minh and parading the flower car on the street, 82 couples had their wedding ceremony at the restaurant with the same rituals as a traditional wedding.
