Thuong Nong Agricultural Cooperative (Tam Nong District, Phu Tho Province) in coordination with the Agricultural Service Center of Bao Yen District, Lao Cai has just given pink banana seedlings to farmers in Yen Son and Dien Quan communes.
Farmers in Yen Son and Dien Quan communes of Bao Yen district have received 11,000 red banana seedlings, of which Dien Quan commune received 5,030 trees and Yen Son commune received 5,970 trees. This is part of a project to link production and consumption of bananas according to VietGAP standards in Bao Yen district, Lao Cai, implemented in the period of 2023 - 2025.

After distributing seedlings, staff of Thuong Nong Agricultural Cooperative directly instructed people on techniques for planting and caring for pink bananas according to VietGAP standards.
According to the 2025 plan, Bao Yen district aims to plant 110 hectares of pink bananas in the communes of Xuan Hoa, Kim Son, Tan Duong, Yen Son and Dien Quan. Banana growing is an effective livelihood that brings economic benefits , helping local people increase their income and escape poverty.
It is known that since 2023, Thuong Nong Agricultural Cooperative has cooperated with Bao Yen District Agricultural Service Center to implement a project to grow pink bananas in Kim Son and Xuan Hoa communes. Thanks to favorable conditions, the plants grow well, and the products are purchased by the Cooperative at stable prices. On average, each hectare of pink bananas brings about 250 million VND in income to the people.
