Provincial People's Committee leaders work with Vietnam Electricity Group

On December 13, comrade Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) on removing difficulties in implementing Phuoc Thai 2, Phuoc Thai 3 solar power projects and power grid projects in the province.

At the meeting, EVN representatives reported on the implementation of projects in the province, thereby proposing and recommending the Provincial People's Committee to direct localities to soon complete site clearance and handover of construction in December 2023 for Phuoc Thai 2 and 3 solar power projects and the new residential road plan to replace existing roads within the scope of the project. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee was requested to direct the implementation of construction protection measures for cases that have agreed to receive compensation but refuse to hand over the site, obstructing construction at some pier foundation locations on the routes being implemented such as: Phuoc Thai - Phuoc Huu 100kV line; Ninh Phuoc - Tuy Phong circuit 2 line and the Da Nhim - Ninh Son - Thap Cham 110kV line renovation and upgrade project to speed up the completion of the projects.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to proactively coordinate with the investor to propagate and mobilize people to hand over the site early; remove difficulties and obstacles in procedures, complete the handover of the site to implement the project in December 2023; in case of delay, the relevant localities must be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Industry and Trade to support investors in completing procedures and documents to adjust the project progress according to regulations. EVN requested EVN to direct contractors to speed up the progress to complete the Phuoc Thai 2 and 3 solar power projects in the first quarter of 2024 and invest in completing transmission line projects in the province, contributing to ensuring grid infrastructure, soon realizing the policy of building Ninh Thuan into an energy and renewable energy center of the country, creating momentum for growth for the province's socio-economic development in the coming time.
