Provincial People's Committee leaders work with the working delegation of the National Steering Committee on collective economy

In 2024, state management of the collective economy continued to be strengthened. The Provincial People's Committee issued many documents directing departments, branches and localities to implement support policies for agricultural and rural development for cooperatives, cooperative groups and farmers such as loans to develop linked value chains, apply science - technology and new technologies in production; strengthen training and fostering human resources, trade promotion activities. In the first 10 months of 2024, 10 new cooperatives were established, bringing the total number of cooperatives to 131, with about 19,200 members; the average revenue is estimated at more than 2.3 billion VND/cooperative/year; the average income of regular workers in cooperatives is 61 million VND/person/year and there are 915 cooperatives in operation, with an average revenue of 245 million VND/cooperative/year.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee made a speech to clarify the results achieved. Accordingly, the KTTT organizations have gradually affirmed themselves as an important factor, contributing positively to the process of socio-economic development as well as ensuring social security in the locality. However, due to limited resources, management capacity, and equipment and machinery that have not been invested in and improved, there are still many difficulties.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

He recommended and proposed that central ministries and branches pay attention to supporting and creating favorable mechanisms for cooperatives to access preferential loans from banks; and soon have a plan to organize training and guidance on the implementation of the 2023 Law on Cooperatives. Regarding the opinions of the Working Group, the province will absorb and concretize them with solutions that are close to the local situation in the coming time.

Speaking at the working session, Ms. Chu Thi Vinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Head of the working delegation, requested the province to closely follow the programs and documents of the Central Government, synchronously deploy solutions in leadership and direction; strengthen propaganda and dissemination of new policies, focus on training human resources to help cooperatives change their thinking and traditional production practices. Pay attention to allocating local budget capital, connecting credit institutions, gradually promoting the role of collective economy in linking production to create value chains of products with high economic value, meeting market demand, increasing income, improving the lives of member households.
