Ho Chi Minh City leaders urgently direct to "remove obstacles" for 116 real estate projects

Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong expressed his respect and welcomed HoREA and real estate businesses that have always accompanied the city in the past time.

The City People's Committee acknowledges and accepts the comments of HoREA and real estate businesses; at the same time, it focuses on reviewing and finding solutions to speed up the handling of recommendations in accordance with its authority and regulations, bringing about practical results in the near future.

For problems related to ministries, branches, and the Central Government, the City People's Committee will urgently urge and propose solutions to speed up the resolution in the coming time.

Regarding HoREA’s recommendations on 116 real estate projects facing difficulties and problems, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong said that up to now, the City People’s Committee has held meetings to listen to reports from units; issued documents directing solutions and brought about certain results.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee continued to assign the Department of Construction to urgently coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Planning and Architecture and related units to discuss and agree with HoREA, report to the City People's Committee for direction and assignment of responsible units to preside over the handling and resolution of groups of documents with the same problems. This task must be completed before March 5.

On the other hand, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to promptly and proactively review and thoroughly resolve the City People's Committee's instructions related to HoREA's recommendations.

In particular, focus on handling problems within the unit's authority. For difficulties and problems within the authority of the City People's Committee or central ministries and branches, promptly advise the City People's Committee on solutions. At the same time, make plans and regularly discuss and work with real estate businesses with projects facing problems to guide implementation.

The leaders of the City People's Committee assigned the departments and branches assigned to preside over and handle the above-mentioned project groups to urgently discuss and work with project owners to agree on a handling direction; focus on proactively resolving the contents within their authority.

In case of exceeding authority, promptly report and propose solutions so that the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee can arrange a meeting schedule to listen to the report and agree on solutions to remove obstacles for each specific project.

Previously, HoREA had repeatedly sent documents and petitions to the City People's Committee to remove obstacles in procedures and policies for 116 real estate and commercial housing projects in the area.

Regarding the topic of social housing, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong assigned the Department of Construction to promptly absorb the comments at the meeting, continue to review, research and advise the City People's Committee to resolve related problems; shorten the time to implement project procedures as much as possible, in order to attract investment resources, create housing funds, and meet the demand for social housing in the area.
