On November 28, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province held a launching ceremony for the peak emulation campaign "300 days of joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Thai Binh province". Representative of THACO , Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung, Deputy General Director in charge of Investment - Construction of Transport Infrastructure - Industrial Parks - Urban Areas THADICO attended the program.
The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Thai Binh province, together with leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the province; leaders of districts, cities and representatives of enterprises inside and outside the province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Thai Binh province said: This is a meaningful and humane activity, demonstrating the deep concern of the Party Committee, government and people of Thai Binh province in improving living conditions and ensuring social security for the community, especially for those in difficult circumstances.
At the ceremony, more than 100 organizations, businesses and philanthropists participated in contributing a total of more than 45 billion VND. Of which, THACO donated 5 billion VND to support the construction of 100 new houses for disadvantaged households, helping people soon have stable, safe housing and improve their lives.
Currently, Thai Binh province has more than 2,100 poor and near-poor households facing housing difficulties, of which nearly 1,170 households need to build new houses and more than 940 households need to repair their houses to improve their quality of life. With this funding source, from December 2024, the province will build houses in districts and cities for people in the area, while requiring localities to continue to review and meet the housing needs of households facing difficulties.
Previously, at the Support Reception Ceremony for the Program "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" in Lam Dong Province in 2024, THACO also donated 5 billion VND to support the construction of 100 houses in the area. Accompanying the program, THACO not only demonstrates the spirit of mutual love and support but also helps people have a solid home, stabilize their lives, and contribute to the overall development of society.
