Attending the program were comrade Nguyen Thi Hong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Dao Minh Tu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and comrades leading the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, leaders of Departments, Bureaus, units under the State Bank, leaders of joint stock commercial banks, Cooperative Banks, Social Policy Bank, Deposit Insurance and units in the banking sector.
The program also had the participation of Prof. Dr. Hoang Chi Bao - Former member of the Central Theoretical Council.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always paid special attention to women. President Ho Chi Minh highly appreciated the position and role of women in the historical process of building and defending the nation. Regarding bank staff, he also advised bank staff to maintain morality, cultivate revolutionary morality, be diligent, thrifty, honest, just, and impartial.
To study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, the March 8th celebration program for female leaders in the banking industry is an opportunity for female leaders in the industry to listen, share and learn from Uncle Ho's example, to continue to cultivate and improve their political level and professional skills, contributing to building the unit and the industry to develop more and more.

Over the past years, the entire banking sector has seriously and effectively implemented the political and professional tasks assigned by the Party, State, Government and people. Typical examples are the management and operation of monetary policy, inflation control, macroeconomic stabilization, especially the implementation of the Banking Sector Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030 according to the policies and directions of the Party and State.
The State Bank of Vietnam has proactively researched, issued and directed the serious implementation of many important Directives and Resolutions related to the fields of currency, credit, banking and especially the policies, programs and action plans of the Party and State related to women, for the progress and development of women in the new era.

The State Bank of Vietnam Trade Union was established on April 1, 1993. After more than 30 years of development and growth, with many practical solutions with rich, diverse, creative, flexible and effective content and forms of operation, the State Bank Trade Union has made great efforts to promote its role and perform well its function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and employees, organizing and launching emulation movements and meaningful activities for employees in the industry. It has been recognized and appreciated by the Party, the State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and industry leaders with many Certificates of Merit and noble Medals of various types.

The results achieved by the Vietnam Banking Trade Union are thanks to the contributions of cadres and union members in the entire industry. In particular, female union members and workers always account for a high proportion (over 50%) of the workforce, the number of female cadres participating in the Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the trade union, and key cadres at all levels always meets and exceeds the overall development targets of the whole country.

Female banking officers are assigned and arranged to work in all fronts and all fields of work, but no matter what position they hold, female banking workers have always strived to complete their tasks well and succeed in life.

Every year, over 90% of female union members in the industry achieve the title of Excellent Women, thousands of them are awarded by professional departments, trade unions and mass organizations at all levels; many women achieve the title of Emulation Fighter, some are awarded Certificates of Merit, Medals, and noble Orders by the Party, the State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Governor of the State Bank, the People's Committees of provinces and cities, etc.
