Leaders of many countries congratulate 79th anniversary of Vietnam National Day

On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), leaders of countries sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.
Laos: General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay Siphandone and Chairman of the Lao National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihane sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary and President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.

The Lao Party, State and people are proud and delighted to see that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam, established by the great President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, continues to be preserved and nurtured, increasingly deepening and becoming effective, becoming an invaluable asset of the two peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

Key Lao leaders also expressed deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for providing valuable, timely and effective assistance to Laos during the past struggle for independence as well as in the current period of national construction and development.

The Lao leaders affirmed that they will continue to cooperate closely with the Party, State and people of Vietnam to preserve and nurture the special and unique relationship between Laos and Vietnam to stay forever green, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Key leaders of Laos wished the Party, State and people of Vietnam, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary and President To Lam, to continue to gain new and greater achievements in organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, achieving the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

China: General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President To Lam; Chinese Premier Li Qiang sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji sent a congratulatory message to Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.

The Chinese leaders appreciated that the Communist Party of Vietnam has united and led the people to achieve encouraging achievements in the cause of socialist industrialization and modernization, and believe that under the steadfast leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam will continue to succeed on the path of socialism in accordance with the country's situation.

The Chinese leaders recalled the state visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam and the working trip by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. During the visits and working sessions, the two sides reached important common understandings on promoting the building of a China-Vietnam community of shared future of strategic significance; agreed to continue promoting the development of the socialist cause worldwide, making positive contributions to peace and progress of mankind.

The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Vietnam diplomatic relations, which will bring new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations. The Chinese leadership stressed its willingness to work with Vietnam to promote the building of a community of shared future of strategic significance between China and Vietnam, and continue to develop, bringing more benefits to the people of the two countries.

Cambodia: The Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and Cambodian Acting Head of State Hun Sen sent congratulatory letters to General Secretary and President To Lam; Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary sent a congratulatory letter to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Cambodian leaders highly appreciated the continuous development of the relationship between the Party, State, National Assembly and people of the two countries, which has become increasingly deeper and reached a new height under the motto of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability".

The Cambodian leaders congratulated Vietnam on the great and important achievements in all fields in recent times and firmly believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by General Secretary and President To Lam, the Vietnamese people will continue to gain even greater new achievements, ensuring the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, and believing that Vietnam will become a high-income developed country by 2045.

The Cambodian leader expressed his wish to continue to cooperate closely with Vietnam to strengthen and develop the bilateral relationship more and more sustainably, for the common interests of the two countries.

The Cuban leader affirmed that Vietnam's victory over colonialism and imperialism created a legacy that is admired by all of humanity, and this has been confirmed by the undeniable successes under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the Doi Moi process.

The Cuban leader reiterated his firm determination to continue strengthening the friendly relations between the two peoples and the two Parties.

Russia: President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President To Lam; Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin sent letters and congratulatory messages to Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.

Russian leaders assessed that the Russia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership – based on fine traditions of friendship and mutual respect – is at a high level, with cooperation in the economic, trade, cultural fields along with promising fields such as industry, energy, science, and technology, which was affirmed through constructive talks with rich content during the recent State visit to Vietnam by Russian President Putin.

Russian leaders said that deepening cooperation with Vietnam is one of the priority directions in the foreign policy of the Russian Federation in the Asia-Pacific region. Russian leaders believe that with joint efforts, the two countries will continue to comprehensively develop the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership to meet the core interests of the two peoples, while ensuring security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

India: President of India Droupadi Murmu sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President To Lam; Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary and President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Indian leaders praised the long-standing traditional friendship between Vietnam and India, expressing their delight at the strong and extensive development of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on the basis of trust, deep mutual understanding and shared common vision.

The Indian leaders believe that Vietnam will achieve even greater achievements, and affirmed their desire to strengthen cooperation and bring the Vietnam-India relationship to new heights in the coming time, for the common interests of the two peoples.

North Korea: General Secretary and State President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President To Lam.

General Secretary and State President Kim Jong Un wished the Vietnamese people, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, to continue to gain even greater achievements in the struggle to build a prosperous and civilized socialist state.

Mongolia: President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President To Lam.

The leaders and people of Mongolia are pleased to see that in recent times, based on the correct policies of the Party and State of Vietnam, Vietnam has developed remarkably and strongly not only in the region but also in the world.

The President of Mongolia affirmed that with the principle of “friendship and cooperation”, the two countries have learned from each other with the desire to develop friendly relations and close cooperation within the framework of the international community. The President of Mongolia expressed his pleasure at working closely with the President to further expand and develop the friendly and cooperative relations between Mongolia and Vietnam in all fields in accordance with the interests of the people of the two countries.

Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Thongsavanh Phomvihane sent a congratulatory letter to Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung.
