On the afternoon of May 6, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the A1 National Martyrs Cemetery.
Due to work conditions, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong could not attend the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, so he sent a wreath to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs.
Also attending the ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025; representatives of ministries, departments, branches, unions, central agencies and provinces and cities.
The wreaths of the leaders, former leaders of the Party, State and the Central working delegation clearly stated "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs" expressing the deep gratitude of the country and the people to the heroes who did not hesitate to shed blood and sacrifice themselves for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
In a sacred and respectful moment, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai, together with leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, took a moment of profound silence to remember the thousands of outstanding children of the country and the Vietnamese people who devoted their youth and lives to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Your sacrifice has helped our country blossom into independence and freedom.
