Leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association attend the rehearsal of the 18th National Press Awards Ceremony

With special attention to the preparation work, tonight (June 20), journalist Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association attended the rehearsal of the 18th National Press Awards Ceremony at the Vietnam - Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.

At the rehearsal, leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association and members of the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the National Press Awards and related units agreed on a number of contents regarding the award ceremony, inspected the preparation work, and ensured the conditions for organizing the Award Ceremony.

Accordingly, this year's Award Ceremony is organized in a way that innovates in content and method of honoring authors with outstanding works that win the Award, demonstrating solemnity, having profound political and social significance, having a strong influence in the press and the whole society; having the effect of gathering and uniting a large number of reporters and journalists working in press agencies and Journalists Associations at all levels nationwide.

This year the Awards Ceremony was held with many new features.

This year's National Press Awards Ceremony will honor 10 A prizes, 26 B prizes, 45 C prizes and 41 Encouragement prizes, fueling the passion for the profession for reporters and journalists in the journey of building Vietnam's Revolutionary Journalism.

Art programs will be held with lighting and sound tricks, creating special attraction, and honored journalists will be the center of the Awards Ceremony.

The award ceremony will be held tomorrow evening, Friday, June 21, 2024 at the ICE International Exhibition Center - Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (91 Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

The 18th National Press Awards Ceremony will also be broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and broadcast live on VOV1 of Voice of Vietnam.
