Today (September 28), the funeral of Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha, wife of General Vo Nguyen Giap, was solemnly held at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi.
General Secretary and President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Manh, former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and many other leaders and former leaders of the Party and State sent wreaths.

Attending the funeral, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong led the delegation to pay their respects and burn incense to bid farewell to Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha.

On behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong offered incense and expressed his deepest condolences to the family of Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha.

Information from General Vo Nguyen Giap's family said that the funeral of Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha will be held on the morning of September 29 at Vung Chua - Yen Island.
Ms. Dang Bich Ha (born in 1928, in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province), is the eldest daughter of Professor Dang Thai Mai (former Minister of Education, first Director of the Vietnam Institute of Literature).
In late 1946, the wedding of Commander-in-Chief Vo Nguyen Giap and Ms. Dang Bich Ha was held simply.
Mrs. Dang Bich Ha and General Vo Nguyen Giap had four children together: Vo Hoa Binh, Vo Hanh Phuc, Vo Dien Bien and Vo Hong Nam.
