Phuoc Tich ancient village was established in 1470, under the reign of Le Thanh Tong. The village is surrounded by the O Lau River, located 40km north of Hue city. Initially, this village was called Phuc Giang.
During the reign of King Gia Long, the village was renamed Phuoc Tich as it is today with the hope that the villagers would accumulate much virtue to leave to future generations.
