The Oil and Gas Culture Week (VHDK Week) is a cultural event held annually on the occasion of the anniversary of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (September 3, 1975), carrying the unique tradition and identity of Petrovietnam. The series of activities responding to VHDK Week brings a joyful, exciting, cohesive, and affectionate cultural atmosphere, lighting up the flame of aspiration of Oil and Gas workers.
Oil and Gas officers, employees and workers performed an art performance to open the Opening Ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, President of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union Nghiem Thuy Lan called on the collective of Oil and Gas workers to unite with one heart, with a new spirit of thinking, new spirit, with goals and action strategies for the sustainable development of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group as the leading Industry - Energy Group in the country and the region; constantly fostering, building and developing the Petrovietnam Culture with the core values of "Aspiration - Intelligence - Professionalism - Compassion".

On behalf of Petrovietnam's leadership, Comrade Le Manh Hung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, acknowledged and highly appreciated the organization of the 15th Oil and Gas Culture Week, which took place at a meaningful time for the country in general and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in particular. Comrade Le Manh Hung emphasized: In the past time, together with other political organizations, the Group and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union have organized many activities and events, bringing the Petrovietnam Cultural values to works, factories and projects. The Oil and Gas workers, with their responsibility, have spread the "loyalty" value of Petrovietnam Culture to the community through social security activities across the country.

Delegates perform the opening ceremony of the 15th Oil and Gas Culture Week
The Oil and Gas Culture Week includes a series of cultural and sports activities, support activities, visits to workers, and social security activities to show the affection of the Oil and Gas people. This year, the activities responding to the Oil and Gas Culture Week in the whole industry include: high-level propaganda activities, seminars, thematic activities "One team, one goal" and the Petrovietnam Cultural Regeneration Project; organizing visits, support, and gift-giving to Oil and Gas workers in difficult circumstances, expressing gratitude to generations of cadres who have contributed to the development of the industry; organizing regional Oil and Gas Sports Festivals; awarding prizes to Trade Unions under the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union for their outstanding achievements in building a grassroots cultural life.

To further enhance propaganda work as well as bring new, more vivid and attractive ways of expression to the audience of Oil and Gas workers, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union has built the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union Television News, which will broadcast the first episode on September 3, 2024, the founding day of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (September 3, 1975 - September 3, 2024). The news will be broadcast on the media system including the website congdoandaukhi.vn, fanpage and YouTube channel of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, including news and articles disseminating major directives related to the Trade Union organization and cadres, union members of the Oil and Gas workers of the Party, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, and the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union; news/articles reflecting major activities and events of trade unions at all levels, outstanding activities of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union at all levels. In the first broadcast, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union Newsletter will bring to workers news and images about the series of activities and events within the framework of the 15th Oil and Gas Culture Week in 2024 and many other related activities towards the major anniversaries of the country and the Oil and Gas industry.
Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union Television News will release its first issue on September 3, 2024.
Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group launched the book “Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Risk Management”. The publication was edited by Dr. Le Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam. The book consists of 5 chapters and 36 sub-topics covering knowledge about enterprise risk management, the State's legal policies, ways to build a risk management framework for enterprises, roadmaps, and risk management solutions for large corporations, small and medium enterprises. The editorial board hopes that the book will contribute to widely disseminating awareness and action, forming a risk management culture, and contributing to improving the Group's fluctuation management work.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, Petrovietnam announced and awarded the “Petrovietnam Pride” clip creation contest. After 1 month, the Organizing Committee received 131 entries with creative and highly artistic films and images, reflecting realistically and vividly many aspects of the activities and lives of Oil and Gas workers. The contest has truly become a useful and practical “playground” for “Oil and Gas directors and filmmakers” to express their ideas, creativity and creative talent in designing videos and clips. At the same time, through the videos and clips, the cultural values, beauty in work, study, production, the sense of responsibility of employees and workers of Oil and Gas, and the contributions of Petrovietnam to the socio-economic development of the country.
Comrade Le Manh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Comrade Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Group's Party Committee awarded the First, Second and Third prizes to representatives of the winning author groups/authors.
From the entries, based on the rules and criteria of the Contest, after two rounds of judging, the Jury selected 16 best video works. The first prize of the contest went to the work "Overall maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery 5 - "One team - One goal" by a group of authors from Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company. The Organizing Committee also selected and awarded 11 prizes to groups with many entries, 4 prizes to works that received many votes and interactions per week. The success of this Contest promises to attract many units and authors to reflect more clear and vivid "perspectives" on the Oil and Gas industry in the following Contests, continuing to inspire and motivate Oil and Gas workers to work enthusiastically and contribute, as well as bring the image and cultural values of Petrovietnam to the community and society.

In an enthusiastic, exciting, and vibrant atmosphere, demonstrating the spirit of "Oil and Gas People", on August 24-25, the 2024 Northern Oil and Gas Industry Sports Festival took place at Cau Giay Stadium (Hanoi), with 6 competitions: tug of war, badminton, table tennis, tennis, swimming, sack jumping and friendly football matches.
