Here, Minister Nguyen Van Hung expressed that in recent days our country has been extremely saddened by the passing of the General Secretary.
Before the passing of the outstanding leader and great cultural figure of Vietnam, every citizen in the country made determined efforts, turning grief into action to well implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the legacies, including the cultural legacies that he left for our people and our country.
In that entire legacy, the General Secretary, who was a theorist, left behind many books that he had drawn from during his leadership.
Among them, there is the book Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam .
This book is well received by international friends and is studied by many Communist Parties and other political parties.
Presenting this valuable book to the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, the Minister hoped that the book would be of great significance for continuing to summarize the theory of our Party's renovation policy, arouse and promote the aspiration to develop the country in the current period of each cadre and employee at the Center and would be spread to overseas Vietnamese in France.
Recalling touching stories about the General Secretary, the Minister emphasized that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great cultural figure, born and raised in a land rich in culture from the Quan Ho melodies in his mother's lullabies, the caring teachings of his father to the traditions of the Kinh Bac region.
With the personality of a Northern scholar, imbued with the culture and quintessence of Thang Long, a thousand years of civilization, he was both a person who summarized practice and generalized theory, and also a person who practiced culture in the most exemplary way.
Therefore, very shortly before his death, the General Secretary agreed to publish the book Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity .
Introducing the book's content, the Minister emphasized: "We read the book to see the General Secretary's love for the industry. At the same time, we find in the book handbooks for our activities.
These are important manuals for cultural workers and we need to deeply understand them to spread, promote, and contribute to building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity."
The third book the Minister presented to the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France is the book "A Thousand Years of Vietnamese National Culture" compiled and published in Vietnamese and English by the National Political Publishing House in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The book introduces the treasures in the most concise and brief way, but it is enough for readers to have a basic, general view of the origin, era, characteristics and unique, typical values of the treasures. Accompanying that concise information are images of each treasure.
The book is published with the hope that it will help the general public at home and abroad better understand the historical and cultural values "woven" by the hands and minds of the Vietnamese people, continuously cultivated over thousands of years, to create an advanced culture imbued with national identity.
Minister Nguyen Van Hung hopes that through the books, the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France will introduce to international friends the precious heritages of the nation to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam. That is also the most vivid expression for us to remember our beloved General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Touched when the Minister personally handed over the precious books, Director-Meritorious Artist Tang Thanh Son, Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam Cultural Center in France, expressed that receiving the precious books was an honor for himself and the Vietnam Cultural Center in France.
Mr. Son said: "With all the love and enthusiasm, all the staff of the Center will learn and absorb valuable knowledge from the books, carry out the teachings of the General Secretary and the advice of the Minister to contribute to spreading the Vietnamese cultural identity to friends around the world in general and Europe in particular."
