Modest IT workforce ratio

According to reports on human resources in Vietnam, the current proportion of IT workers is estimated at 1.1% of the total 51 million workers nationwide, quite low compared to technology-oriented countries such as the US (4%), South Korea (2.5%) or India (1.78%). Vietnam plans to increase this proportion to 2% in the coming years, and at the same time, plans to train to improve the quality of the IT group.

Vietnam's IT industry is changing and developing every day, so the "race" for IT human resources is also fiercely competitive in the labor market.

In the context of national digital transformation as well as the industry is undergoing many clear changes, the need for development is high, so recruiting talent is facing many difficulties. With the nature of the industry working in a high international standard environment, the quality of human resources not only depends on skills and knowledge in the field but also requires the ability to communicate and work in professional English. This also poses a challenge for many people, at the same time reducing the number of qualified workers, which is already limited in Vietnam.

Solving the shortage problem

With the above shortage and difficulties, IT is always a field that is in search of talent. However, for businesses to be able to attract candidates, policies and incentives are always a necessary condition. Currently, many technology companies continuously provide welfare policies for employees, flexible in terms of time and working environment to create the best conditions, suitable for them. In addition, a specific promotion path is always considered a "plus point" in the job description of each business, showing candidates how far their future can go.

To attract talent, many technology companies have many benefits as well as built clear career paths for employees.

However, according to experts, few companies currently mention the "necessary conditions" for talented people to see their real opportunities in the business.
