Employees can easily combine social insurance books (Illustration: Nguyen Son).
Mr. Nguyen Sy Nghia has worked for 3 companies but has not yet merged his social insurance books. When he worked at the first company, Mr. Nghia quit his job without completing the termination procedures, so he does not know whether his social insurance book has been closed by the company or not.
Mr. Nghia wondered: "Now I don't have 3 social insurance books, can I combine them?"
Responding to Mr. Nghia, Vietnam Social Security said that he can look up his social insurance participation process in many ways. After looking up, the employee will know whether the first company paid social insurance for him or not.
When looking up and seeing that he has participated in 2 or more units without having merged his books, Mr. Nghia can go to the Social Security agency where he lives and works to do the procedures to merge his books.
According to Vietnam Social Security, the procedure for merging social insurance books is carried out in cases where the participant has 2 or more social insurance books. Employees only need to fill out a participation declaration, adjust social insurance and health insurance information (form TK01-TS) with social insurance books (if any) and submit it to the social insurance agency. The social insurance agency will review and provide specific instructions on the procedure for merging social insurance books according to regulations for employees.
