Drunk driver sleeping on the roadside gets maximum penalty

Specifically, at around 12:30 p.m. on January 19, while patrolling traffic, the Traffic Police Team of Viet Yen Town Police discovered a drunk man sleeping on the side of the road.

The violator was identified as Nguyen Van T. (born in 1984, residing in Na Nhu, Dan Chu commune, Hoa An district, Cao Bang ). When he saw the working group, T. woke up and continued driving the motorbike 11H1-177... around. Faced with the above situation, the working group conducted an inspection. When working with the authorities, T. was still in an unconscious state, with an alcohol concentration of 0.876 milligrams/1 liter of breath, more than twice the maximum level of the penalty frame according to regulations.

According to the statement, Mr. T. and his friends at the company drank alcohol early in the morning of the same day. Due to being too drunk, on the way back, he slept on the side of the road from 8:00 a.m. the same day. Upon inspection, Mr. T. could not present the relevant documents including: driver's license, vehicle registration, and compulsory civil liability insurance certificate of motor vehicle owners.

The working group drew up a record and strictly handled this case with the following violations: Driving a vehicle with a breath alcohol concentration exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath (maximum penalty); no driver's license; no vehicle registration; no certificate of compulsory civil liability insurance for motor vehicle owners.

After making a record of the handling, the working group asked Mr. T. to contact relatives or friends to take him back to his rented room to ensure safety.
