According to the mobilization interest rate table announced by Vikki Bank on the morning of March 12, the bank's interest rate has decreased by the most 0.5%/year, down to only 3.9%/year for a 1-month term, effective from today.

Bank interest rates for 2-month terms decreased by 0.4%/year to 4%/year, while 3- and 4-month terms decreased by 0.25%/year to 4.15%/year.

The smallest reduction of 0.1%/year applies to 5-month term deposits. Currently, Vikki Bank lists the interest rate for this term deposit at 4.3%/year.

Interest rates for 6-month deposits were adjusted down by 0.3%/year to 5.3%/year, while those for 7-8 month terms decreased by 0.25%/year to 5.35%/year.

The interest rate for 9-11 month savings also decreased by 0.25%/year to 5.45%/year. This reduction is also applied to the 12-month term, after the mobilization interest rate for this term dropped to 5.65%/year.

Vikki Bank reduced the 13-month term interest rate by 0.2%/year to 5.7%/year. Meanwhile, the highest mobilization interest rate remains at 5.9%/year for terms of 18-36 months.

This is the first time Vikki Bank has reduced interest rates. Previously, the bank increased its deposit interest rates by 0.05-0.3% per year from February 17 after officially announcing the change of its commercial name.

Vikki Bank still applies a special interest rate of up to 7.5%/year for customers who deposit for a term of 13 months and receive interest at the end of the term. However, the conditions for enjoying this highest deposit interest rate have also changed to be more difficult to access, from a minimum of 200 billion VND to 999 billion VND.

Vikki Bank is also the only bank to adjust interest rates on the morning of March 12, thereby becoming the 14th bank to reduce deposit interest rates from the beginning of March 2025, including: PGBank, Viet A Bank, Kienlongbank, Bac A Bank, Eximbank, IVB, LPBank, Nam A Bank, NCB, SHB , VCBNeo, Hong Leong Vietnam, VIB, Vikki Bank. Of which, Eximbank is the bank that has reduced interest rates twice since the beginning of the month.

Previously, right after the meeting with the State Bank on February 25, a series of banks reduced deposit interest rates in the last 3 days of February, including: BVBank, MSB, VietBank, Saigonbank, VIB , BaoVietBank.

Since then, no bank has increased deposit interest rates.
