Viet A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Viet A Bank) has just reduced interest rates after the Lunar New Year holiday. Terms from 1-36 months have all decreased by 0.1 percentage points, starting today.
Specifically, the online mobilization interest rate for 1-month term is 3.1%/year, 2-month term is 3.2%/year and 3-5-month term is 3.4%/year.
Interest rates for 6-11 month terms are 4.5%/year, 12-13 month terms are 5%/year. 15 and 18 month terms are currently 5.1%/year and 5.3%/year respectively.
The highest interest rate at Viet A Bank is 5.4%/year, applied to 24-36 month term deposits.
Having just increased deposit interest rates after the Lunar New Year holiday, Techcombank has reduced long-term deposits. This bank reduced interest rates by 0.2 percentage points for deposits with terms from 12-36 months to 4.55%/year.
Interest rates for the remaining terms remain the same, 6-8 months is 3.75%/year, 9-11 months is 3.8%/year.
Previously, on February 16, Techcombank unexpectedly increased 0.4 percentage points for 1-2 month term to 2.75%/year and increased 0.5 percentage points for 3 month term to 3.15%/year.
Interest rates at other banks have not changed.
According to statistics, since the beginning of February 2024, up to 16 banks have reduced deposit interest rates including: LPBank, Sacombank, NCB, Viet A Bank, SeABank, Techcombank, ACB, VIB, Eximbank, BVBank, KienLong Bank, ABBank, Bac A Bank, PGBank, Sacombank, Dong A Bank.
Of which, VIB, Sacombank, NCB, Viet A Bank, Techcombank have reduced interest rates for the second time since the beginning of the month.
Of which, the highest 6-month term deposit interest rate currently belongs to Construction Bank (CBBank), listed at 5.1%/year.
Notably, CBBank is the only bank listing a 6-month term interest rate above 5%/year. Meanwhile, all other banks list interest rates for this term below 5%/year.
After CBBank, the highest 6-month deposit interest rates belong to the following banks: VietBank (4.9%/year); HDBank, PVCombank, Bao Viet Bank (4.8%/year); GPBank (4.75%/year); ABBank (4.7%/year); NCB and BVBank (4.65%/year).
There are even many banks that are listing 6-month term deposit interest rates below 4%/year, such as: Vietcombank (3%/year); SCB (3.05%/year); Agribank and VietinBank (3.2%/year); BIDV (3.3%/year); Techcombank (3.75%/year); ACB, MB, Saigonbank, Sacombank, MSB, SeABAnk (3.9%/year).
