Fans have been speculating about the new song title, after noticing that the letters of some of Lady Gaga's songs on streaming platforms have changed from uppercase to lowercase and vice versa.
Shortly after the surprise release of her latest album "Harlequin," Lady Gaga will return to her familiar "eccentric" style with the first single from her seventh album, "Disease," which will be released on October 25.
Promising single
Although the pop star has not made an official announcement, Universal Music has made the song "Disease" available for pre-save on the company's pop-up site at https://presave.umusic.com/ladygaga-disease, as well as through Spotify and Apple Music.
Fans have been speculating about the title of the new song after noticing that the letters of several Lady Gaga songs on streaming platforms had changed from uppercase to lowercase and vice versa. When arranged, the first letters of the seven songs with the above changes came out to spell out "Disease".
Hours before Universal's pop-up site gained traction, Gaga released a playlist on her Spotify account, arranging the songs in order to spell out "Gaga Disease."
She herself had previously hinted at an October release date for the first single from her seventh album. Specifically, in September, Gaga posted a schedule that read "October XX: LG7's first single," along with important dates on her promotional tour for the film "Joker: Folie à Deux," in which she stars.
'Joker: Folie à Deux' was panned by critics and underperformed at the box office. Although studio sources said 'Joker: Folie à Deux' would break even, it could actually end up losing between $150 million and $200 million.
Just before the film's release, Gaga announced the release of her new album "Harlequin," inspired by her character in the film. The project includes many classic American Songbook favorites like "Get Happy," "That's Life" and "That's Entertainment."
The album was reminiscent of her two albums with the late Tony Bennett, "Cheek to Cheek" and "Love for Sale," which were both Grammy-nominated. However, "Harlequin" became Gaga's lowest-charting full-length album on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 20.
While the album didn't resonate widely, Gaga is still enjoying the success of "Die With a Smile," her duet with Bruno Mars, which was released in August. The song became a commercial highlight for her, debuting at No. 3 on the Hot 100 and racking up hundreds of millions of streams.
The last time Gaga released a proper studio album was in 2020, when "Chromatica" was released at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and debuted at No. 1 on multiple charts.
Outstanding young talent
Lady Gaga's real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. She is considered one of the most talented musicians and actresses in the entertainment world. The singer was born on March 28, 1986 in New York, making her mark with her unique style, powerful voice and unique aesthetic.
Gaga began her music career in the mid-2000s, writing songs for artists such as Britney Spears, Fergie, and New Kids on the Block. However, her career took a major turn when she released her debut album, “The Fame,” in 2008. The album quickly became a huge success, with hits such as “Just Dance” and “Poker Face,” topping the global music charts and earning Gaga numerous prestigious awards.
With her unique musical style, combining pop and electro, along with her outstanding performance style, Gaga not only attracted fans but also left an impression on critics. “The Fame” helped Gaga reach the peak of her career from the very beginning and opened up a promising path for her in the world music industry.
In 2011, Lady Gaga continued to assert her position with her second album, “Born This Way”. This album is not only a musical product but also a strong message of freedom, self-acceptance and encouragement for the LGBTQ+ community. The title track “Born This Way” became a manifesto for the LGBT community and reached number one in many countries.
The album helped Gaga break many records, receive Grammy nominations and become one of the best-selling albums of the year. “Born This Way” not only affirmed Gaga’s musical talent but also affirmed her influence and role in fighting for equal rights and personal freedom.
Despite her success, Lady Gaga’s career has not been without its challenges. Her third album, “ARTPOP” (2013), did not achieve the commercial success she had hoped for, despite featuring hits like “Applause” and “Do What U Want.”
“ARTPOP” was criticized for being inconsistent and controversial among critics. The failure was a huge shock, and Gaga even went through a long period of dealing with depression and anxiety.
However, this did not deter Gaga. She decided to change her style and direction in music, explore different genres of music and try her hand at acting. In 2018, Lady Gaga made her mark in the acting field when she took on the lead role in the movie “A Star is Born”, collaborating with actor and director Bradley Cooper. The role of Ally in this movie not only demonstrated Gaga’s talented acting ability but also created a major turning point in her career. The song “Shallow”, which Gaga performed in the movie, became a global hit, won the Oscar for Best Original Song and brought her a Grammy. The success of “A Star is Born” helped Lady Gaga receive a lot of praise from critics and proved that she is a multi-talented artist.
In 2020, Lady Gaga returned with a bang with the album “Chromatica,” a pop and dance hybrid that returned to the vibrant style that fans loved. “Chromatica” was well received with hits like “Rain on Me” (featuring Ariana Grande) and “Stupid Love.” The album was a commercial success and received much praise for Gaga’s creativity and ability to combine musical styles.
Notably, this album was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was going through a difficult time. Gaga created a musical product that not only entertains but also helps listeners feel more excited in a difficult context./.
