“As young people, let's be exemplary and take the lead.”

Elected by the Youth Union members to hold the position of Secretary of the Son Tay Commune Youth Union (Huong Son, Ha Tinh) since 2020, Mr. Phan Sac Bien (born in 1992) has constantly strived and made efforts to bring the Youth Union's activities into greater depth and practicality.

Mr. Bien shared: “I have been attached to the youth uniform since my university years. Later, although I have experienced different jobs, I still decided to stick with the Youth Union. Because this organization has given me enthusiasm, confidence, especially the spirit of sharing love with others more. Those are really valuable experiences for me.”

Having joined the Party since 2015, Mr. Bien understands better than anyone the role of “wherever youth is needed, wherever there is difficulty, there is youth”. Therefore, in the assigned position, he always strives to complete the tasks well.

Mr. Bien said: “I always keep in mind that the youth must take the lead, follow Uncle Ho's teachings, promote the spirit and youth for the development of the homeland. Therefore, I myself determined to study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings right from the normal and simple daily activities. Always be a pioneer, a role model in activities; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations and always be close to the youth to be able to gather the strength of the Youth Union into the common movement."

Each project and work of the youth of Son Tay commune has contributed to building the homeland more and more prosperous and beautiful.

With a sense of responsibility and youthful enthusiasm, Mr. Bien, together with the Youth Union branches, actively built plans and implemented many highly effective youth activities. During the period of 2021 - 2023, he and the local Youth Union organized more than 300 campaigns to help the commune build a new rural area, with thousands of working days. Organized 15 car washes to raise funds; built 7 youth power lines to light up the countryside, 5 playgrounds for children; renovated, repaired, and renewed 12 football fields...

Mr. Bien has created his own mark and color in the role of Secretary of the Commune Youth Union.

In addition, every year, he also mobilizes and donates dozens of gifts, worth tens of millions of VND to support students and families in difficult circumstances in the area. He himself also established two English clubs at the intellectual houses in Hoang Nam and Ha Chua villages to help students have more conditions to study and accumulate knowledge in this subject.

In particular, according to the assessment of Huong Son District Youth Union, Mr. Bien is an active "nucleus" in digital transformation activities. In the first 4 months of 2023, he organized nearly 30 sessions with more than 400 Youth Union members participating in supporting people to install and activate the VNeID electronic identification application.

Mr. Bien is one of the typical "nuclei" of digital transformation activities in Son Tay commune.

Sharing about gathering young union members to participate in union movements, Mr. Bien said: “I always keep in mind that, to mobilize young union members to participate in movements, I myself must be truly exemplary and enthusiastic in everything so that everyone can follow. Before implementing activities, I always discuss carefully, plan clearly, and especially bring practical results to the community. Besides, listening to everyone's thoughts and aspirations is also a way for me to understand, share and accompany young union members.”

Mutual aid activities in the area are always led by Mr. Bien.

Although he has not been in the position of Secretary of the Commune Youth Union for long, Mr. Bien has created his own mark and color. His efforts have been recognized and commended by all levels, such as: The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded him a certificate of merit for his outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement in 2019; The Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union awarded him a certificate of merit for his outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and the youth movement in 2022...

Commenting on Mr. Bien, Secretary of Huong Son District Youth Union Nguyen Van Linh said: “Comrade Bien himself is always proactive, taking the lead in local tasks, not afraid of difficulties, not afraid of hardships, organizing many practical movements, bearing the imprint of the Youth Union. His efforts and dedication have inspired and enthusiastic the youth force in the area to effectively carry out the movements together, thereby promoting the youth's strength in building and developing the homeland”.
