(Dan Tri) - In his first interview since joining Real Madrid, striker Kylian Mbappe admitted that he started the season with unexpected difficulties.
"Real Madrid is a new context, a new club, a completely new environment," Mbappe shared in an hour-long interview for Canal+'s Clique program recorded earlier this week at his home in the Spanish capital Madrid.
The French striker has spoken about his start at Real Madrid, the reason he missed France's last two games and his decision to leave Paris Saint Germain.

Mbappe has scored 11 goals in 21 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions so far, including one in a 3-0 La Liga win over Girona on 8 December.
The French star has faced criticism for his poor performances, as Real Madrid have suffered a number of recent defeats.
"I will succeed here. At first I was too eager to succeed early, which was not good for me, because I lacked patience. But I am passionate and I am competitive, so impatience sometimes hurts me," Mbappe admitted the reason for his bad start with Real Madrid.
"It's not the best start to the season, but we're preparing for titles, that's the important thing. The start wasn't what we expected, but at Real Madrid you have to wait until the second half of the season. That's when you're judged," Mbappe added.
Notably, after a disappointing Euro 2024 in July due to a broken nose, Mbappe continued to play for the French team during the international break in September.
But he then missed the national team matches in October due to injury and was left out of the squad by coach Didier Deschamps for two matches in November, leading to speculation about his future in the national team.

"The French national team has always been the highest level. My love for the French national team has not changed. Yes, I miss the team, because I have not been there for a long time. In September, I asked the coach not to go to the team. I had just arrived in Madrid, I had a very short vacation. But the coach insisted that I go to the team.
In October, I was injured. I was not in the squad. There were discussions, and the coach told me that it was better not to call me up in November. He is the coach, so he has the right to decide, I support him. I wanted to be in the squad, but I cannot say why he left me out," Mbappe said.
Mbappe also discussed his departure from PSG, which led to a legal battle between the player and the club over unpaid wages and bonuses.
"PSG is a club that means a lot to me. I spent seven years there, it was an incredibly intense place, in good times and bad times. I had seven extraordinary years.
I had conflicts with people, I defended my rights as a player, but that doesn't represent the club, I never mix that with the players, with the people in the academy and the squad.
Many people say that Kylian is not interested, they think that it was my hobby, before coming to Real Madrid. I still watch PSG matches, I always maintain a connection with the club, it does not disappear easily," Mbappe concluded.
