Real Madrid is Kylian Mbappe's dream club?

The New York Times reported that Kylian Mbappe has promised Real Madrid to play at the Bernabeu, after informing PSG that he will not renew his contract (which ends next summer).

Mbappe's future suddenly heated up with two destinations being MU and Real Madrid, in the context that PSG is said to have clearly expressed its stance: either the 24-year-old striker renews or leaves this summer because the club will not accept losing him for free next year.

Before the news that Mbappe's new move was because he wanted to go to Real Madrid, this striker immediately denied it on his personal page, reaffirming that he will stay at PSG next season.

Real Madrid was Mbappe's dream club and he could have arrived last season if he had stayed until the end. However, the French striker decided to stay in Paris at the last minute, making Real Madrid President Florentino Perez extremely angry.

But the choice to stay did not bring success on the pitch for Mbappe and PSG, when the club was eliminated early in the round of 16 and also played unimpressively in Ligue 1 this season despite still retaining the championship.

According to The Times , Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly has expressed an interest in the World Cup winner this summer in the hope of luring him to Stamford Bridge.

Man Utd are also considering a move for Mbappe but will only make an offer once the takeover at Old Trafford is officially complete.

The New York Times revealed that if PSG decides to sell Mbappe in the summer of 2023, the price could be up to 160 million pounds and even higher.

Man City strengthens squad

Immediately after winning the Champions League, Man City focused on the transfer market to strengthen the squad.

According to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, Man City is only focusing on pursuing one target, Josko Gvardiol from Leipzig.

The Citizens are even willing to break the transfer record to sign the Croatian midfielder.

On Twitter, Mr. Fabrizio Romano wrote: "Man City consider Josko Gvardiol as the top target, along with Mateo Kovacic, who has been on their transfer list since last year.

Negotiations between Man City and Leipzig are ongoing. Gvardiol is interested in leaving.

Leipzig will only sell Gvardiol for a huge fee and want to make this player the most expensive central defender in the world".

Harry Maguire currently holds the record for the most expensive defender in the world after moving from Leicester City to Man Utd for 80 million pounds (87 million euros). According to predictions, the Leizpig club wants to earn 100 million euros from the sale of Gvardiol.

Gvardiol is the type of modern center-back that coach Pep Guardiola really wants to own.

Along with Man City, Bayern Munich also wants Gvardiol's service. According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the "Gray Tigers" have made an offer to Leizpig.

However, the Bavarian club is unlikely to be able to meet the huge transfer fee in this deal. German media assess that Man City is still the number one candidate to own Gvardiol.

Coach Zinedine Zidane feels comfortable while still resting

Coach Zinedine Zidane admitted he would like to become head coach of the French national team one day, but “now is not the time”.

The French football legend left Real Madrid in the summer of 2021, and was expected to take over from Didier Deschamps after the 2022 World Cup. However, that did not happen as his former teammate continued in the role.

Zidane is currently resting and said he feels comfortable accepting to "step back", instead of being busy with work.

“I love my job and I can work hard but I need a break. Now I just enjoy life. I have time to visit my parents. I like to have lunch with my wife and children when I am in Madrid and spend time with my friends.

All of this is only possible if you step back. My life has always been at a breakneck pace but now I feel refreshed.”
