Today (September 10), Ms. Kha Thi Tim - Head of the Organizing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee (Nghe An) said that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has decided to discipline the collective, director, deputy director and accountant of Con Cuong District Medical Center.

The above organizations and individuals were disciplined for improperly or incompletely implementing the Party's policies and regulations, causing damage to the material interests and reputation of the organizations and individuals.

The Standing Committee of Con Cuong District Party Committee decided to discipline: Reprimand the Party Cell of Con Cuong District Medical Center for the 2020 - 2025 term; reprimand Ms. Vi Thi Huong, Party Cell Secretary, Director; Mr. Lo Anh Tuan, Deputy Party Cell Secretary, Deputy Director and Mr. Quang Anh Hong, Party Cell Member, Head of Organization and Administration Department - Chief Accountant.

Con Cuong District Party Committee also pointed out that the leadership, direction, and management of the above groups and individuals are not really proactive and comprehensive. The self-inspection, supervision, and urging work is not strict and not drastic.

Con Cuong District Medical Center violated regulations in duplicate payment and overpayment for Covid-19 prevention and control forces with an amount of more than 656 million VND. At the same time, using the recovered amount from the payment of vaccination allowances in excess of the regime to pay for other subjects participating in Covid-19 prevention and control is contrary to current regulations.

Previously, as VietNamNet reported, more than 100 health officials in 14 communes and towns in Con Cuong district had their Covid-19 prevention and control support funds revoked twice by the Health Center in 2022-2023.

Specifically, the Con Cuong District Medical Center was granted funding by the District People's Committee to implement the policy to support staff participating in the Covid-19 vaccination program in 2022 in 2 phases. Phase 1 is nearly 595 million VND and phase 2 is more than 1 billion VND.

After discovering the excess payment of allowances for officials and civil servants serving the Covid-19 vaccination work, the unit recovered the above amount and paid 656 million VND to the Con Cuong district budget.
