Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee decided to discipline the following individuals with a reprimand: Mai Xuan Giang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Lat District; Lo Van Tuan, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information, former Head of the Department of Education and Training of Muong Lat District; Tong Minh Toi, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Muong Lat District; Trinh Xuan Tam, Principal of Muong Lat Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School; and Vu Xuan Tung, specialist in the Department of Culture and Information, former specialist in the Department of Education and Training of Muong Lat District.

The Party cell of the Department of Education and Training of Muong Lat district was disciplined with a reprimand by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

Mr. Trieu Minh Xiet, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Muong Lat District Party Committee, said: after the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee announced the disciplinary decision against the Party organization and Party members who committed violations in the enrollment process at Muong Lat Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee will direct the local government to take disciplinary action against the violating collective and individuals in accordance with regulations.

The forms of disciplinary action against the collective and individuals who violated regulations in the admission process to Muong Lat Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School will be finalized and announced before the start of the new school year 2024-2025.

Previously, following media reports about irregularities at Muong Lat Ethnic Minority Boarding Junior High School, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Muong Lat District established an inspection team to investigate and clarify the matter.

The results of the inspection and verification by the People's Committee of Muong Lat district confirm that many children and grandchildren of department and school leaders and teachers were admitted to grade 6 at Muong Lat Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School in violation of regulations, causing public outrage and affecting the policies and regulations of the Party and State dành for children of ethnic minorities in particularly difficult areas.
