Signing of memorandum of understanding on cooperation in exam monitoring software and cashless fee collection in driving tests

DNO - On the morning of November 21, the Department of Transport (GTVT) coordinated with Viettel Da Nang and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) - North Da Nang Branch to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to pilot the software for monitoring exams and collecting cashless fees in driving tests.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Director of the Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung said that the software for monitoring exams and collecting cashless fees in driving tests will be applied at the Da Nang Driving Test Center to serve the management work of the Department of Transport at driving tests in the city.

Accordingly, the software will be piloted from November 21, 2024 to February 21, 2025 at the Da Nang Driving Test Center.

The software for supervising the exam and collecting fees without using cash in driving tests was researched, built, and digitized comprehensively by the Department of Transport according to the driving test process of the department, deployed synchronously between Model 17 of Project 06 to supervise the exam through accurate authentication of candidates from the national database on population combined with the fee and charge management system on the software and flexible, convenient cashless payment methods through QRCode attached to each student.

"The software will support the Department of Transport in optimizing the driving test process from fee collection, controlling test takers until the end of the test, issuing driving licenses to students," said Director of the Department of Transport Bui Hong Trung.

According to the Director of the Department of Transport, the pilot phase aims to evaluate the actual effectiveness of the software, collect feedback from users to perfect the solution before expanding official implementation.

"The software deployment marks a new step forward in the department's driver training and testing management, continuously applying IT with the goal of comprehensive digital transformation of the industry's management and providing maximum convenience for people in the city."

This is not only a responsibility but also an opportunity for us to build a modern, transparent, professional, and more people-friendly driver management, training, and testing system.

According to the leader of the Department of Transport, Viettel Da Nang and MB Bac Da Nang are two units that have been accompanying the department in the process of implementing the above solution. The memorandum of understanding signed today will be the basis, ensuring the responsibilities and obligations of the parties in accompanying the implementation of the solution in the city.

MB has cooperated with the Department of Transport of Da Nang and the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group - Da Nang Branch (Viettel Da Nang) with the aim of professionalizing and expanding the ability to provide comprehensive payment platforms and solutions in the implementation of information technology applications and digital transformation of the transport sector in Da Nang city.
