(BTNO) - On the afternoon of February 17, Mr. Tran Thanh Linh - Deputy Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council chaired a meeting to announce the time and agenda of the 17th session (special session) of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.

Mr. Tran Thanh Linh - Deputy Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council chaired the press conference.

Attending the event were leaders of the Provincial People's Council, leaders and reporters of the provincial press agencies, and the Vietnam News Agency's permanent office in Tay Ninh province.

Informing leaders and reporters of press agencies, Mr. Tran Thanh Linh said that, implementing the Government Steering Committee's Plan on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on orientations for restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, the 17th session (special session) of the 10th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026 is expected to be held in 1 session, opening at 7:30 a.m. on February 20 at the Provincial Party Committee hall.

Mr. Dang Hoang Thai - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tay Ninh Newspaper asked a question at the press conference.

Accordingly, the session will consider and issue Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council, including: Resolution to adjust Resolution No. 197/NQ-HDND dated December 6, 2024 of the Provincial People's Council on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025; Resolution to abolish Resolution No. 26/2022/NQ-HDND dated May 12, 2022 of the Provincial People's Council on assigning the Provincial People's Committee to decide on investment policies for public investment projects in Tay Ninh province and Resolution on reorganizing specialized agencies under the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee.

The session will conduct dismissal and election of additional positions under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

Mr. Vo Van Quy - Deputy Director of Tay Ninh Radio and Television Station asked a question at the press conference.

At the press conference, leaders and reporters of press agencies requested to provide more information related to public investment projects; requested to clarify the socio-economic development targets for 2025; positions to be dismissed and elected under the authority of the 17th session. These contents were answered by leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council at the meeting.

Mr. Vo Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council answered leaders and reporters of press agencies about the contents related to the 17th session of the Provincial People's Council.

At the end of the press conference, the leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council hoped that the provincial and central press agencies would continue to closely coordinate and increase propaganda about the expected time and content of the session's program so that voters and people would know and follow in the coming time.
