15th Session, 11th Provincial People's Council: Many issues were discussed and questioned

On December 11, the 15th Session - the regular meeting at the end of 2023 of the 11th Provincial People's Council continued its second working day. Comrades: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Minh Luc, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

Attending the event were comrades: Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province; Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Phan Tan Canh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, localities and delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

In the morning, the delegates divided into discussion groups, then gathered in the hall. With a democratic, open, frank, open-minded, objective and responsible spirit, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of departments and branches discussed, analyzed and evaluated the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations, subjective and objective causes in the implementation of solutions and tasks for socio -economic development in 2023. The delegates of the Provincial People's Council contributed opinions and proposed solutions to implement the socio-economic development tasks in 2024 and the 5-year Plan 2021-2025, focusing on the following issues: Breakthrough solutions to achieve the target of GRDP growth and GRDP per capita in 2024 and the entire term 2021-2025; implementing the provincial planning; removing difficulties for businesses; supporting creative startups; developing tourism and education; Socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas... The issues and recommendations of the provincial People's Council delegates were specifically explained by the leaders of the relevant departments and branches.

In the afternoon, the session held an expanded question and answer session. Eight delegates of the Provincial People's Council raised 10 questions and questioned the relevant departments and branches on solutions for economic, cultural and social development to achieve the goals and targets set by the Provincial Party Congress Resolution and the Provincial People's Council Resolution. The focus was on the following issues: Budget collection solutions; construction and land planning to promote bidding, auctions, budget collection, and land use conversion; solutions to bring agricultural policies into life and attract high-tech agricultural development, and develop unique products; promote public investment disbursement; promote investment disbursement of economic sectors... Heads of departments, branches and functional units participated in answering questions and questioning from delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked and seriously accepted the opinions of the People's Council delegates and voters in the province; at the same time, he reported, explained and clarified a number of issues raised by the Provincial People's Council delegates at the meeting and voters were interested in. He stated that the tasks set for 2024 and the following years are very heavy and important, requiring all levels, sectors and localities in the province to promote the spirit of solidarity, joint efforts, consensus, dynamism, innovation, creativity, not to retreat in the face of difficulties and challenges, with high determination, great efforts, drastic actions, with focus and key points. It is necessary to closely follow and focus on effectively implementing the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress; overcome difficulties, seize opportunities, promote socio-economic development to achieve the set goals. He hoped that the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee would continue to closely and comprehensively lead and direct in all fields; the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, all the people and voters in the province would continue to pay attention, accompany, support and supervise to help the Provincial People's Committee more effectively carry out the direction and administration work to complete the goals and tasks set out in the plan for 2024, contributing to the successful implementation of the 5-year socio-economic development task 2021 - 2025; striving by 2025, Ninh Thuan will be a fairly developed province in the region and the whole country, responding to the trust and expectations of the Provincial People's Council delegates, cadres, voters and people in the province.

In his concluding remarks at the discussion, question and answer sessions, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, democracy, openness, frankness, receptiveness and objectivity of the Provincial People's Council delegates, heads of relevant departments, branches and units. He requested the Provincial People's Committee to be responsible for directing and urging departments, branches, agencies, units and localities to implement tasks with the directions and solutions as discussed and agreed upon by the Provincial People's Council, determined to complete the goals, targets and tasks of socio-economic development of the province in 2024, striving to complete the development goals of the 5-year plan 2021-2025.
