Implementing the Food Safety Action Month (from April 10 to May 15), the Provincial Police have implemented synchronous measures to promptly detect, combat, and handle crimes and violations of food safety laws with the goal of not increasing crimes and violations of food safety laws in the province.

Captain Nguyen Van Truong, Deputy Head of the Economic, Corruption and Environmental Crime Prevention and Investigation Team, Economic Police Department, Provincial Police, said that collective kitchens in schools and industrial parks are among the subjects regularly inspected and monitored by the Provincial Police's professional units.
During the Food Safety Action Month 2024, the Economic Police Department, Provincial Police coordinated with functional units to establish an interdisciplinary team to continue to strengthen inspections of these establishments.
In addition to detecting and strictly handling organizations and individuals who violate food safety regulations, the interdisciplinary team also coordinates propaganda to organizations and individuals related to collective kitchens about the responsibility to strictly comply with food safety laws, especially the use of ingredients with clear origin and source, strictly implementing regulations on hygiene conditions of facilities, equipment, tools for food preparation and processing, and personal hygiene in preventing food contamination and foodborne diseases.
The Economic Crime Investigation Police Department also closely coordinates with the Police of districts and cities to organize basic investigation work well, identify topics, areas, and subjects with potential risks of complex crimes and violations of food safety laws such as wholesale markets, cold storage warehouses, centralized slaughterhouses, food production and processing facilities, etc.; acts of producing fake food products such as fake product labels; fake value of use, uses; fake quality indicators, etc., resolutely combat, prevent, and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate.
In particular, in preparation for the April 30 - May 1 holiday, the police force is focusing on inspecting, monitoring and controlling food safety for food and beverage businesses because these are items consumed a lot during the holiday, and resolutely handling establishments without food safety certificates.
Food safety is an issue of particular importance, directly and regularly affecting the health of each individual, the quality of life of each family and the quality of the race of the whole nation. Therefore, in addition to the responsibility of the authorities in combating and preventing violations of the law and crimes related to food safety, consumers also need to proactively learn about their rights and obligations in the field of food safety, especially the right to complain and the responsibility to denounce violations of food safety.

At the same time, promote the sense of responsibility in supervising compliance with food safety laws for individuals and food production and trading establishments; actively promote safe food products, food chains, and traditional local products to encourage and honor safe food production.
