Regarding the serious traffic accident in Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province, on October 1, the Vietnam Road Administration requested an inspection of all conditions for automobile transportation business of Thanh Buoi Company Limited.
At the same time, the Vietnam Road Administration requested to focus on checking the traffic safety process in the unit's automobile transport business activities and handling violations (if any) according to regulations; report the results before October 15.
Specifically, in the area where the accident occurred between passenger van 50F-004.83 (managed by Thanh Buoi Company Limited) and a 16-seat passenger van, the maximum speed allowed was 50km/h.
Through checking the journey monitoring device, Thanh Buoi passenger bus was traveling at 69km/h when the collision occurred. This vehicle exceeded the speed limit and did not maintain a safe distance.
As reported by VietNamNet, in the early morning of September 30, driver Tinh drove Thanh Buoi passenger bus with license plate 50F-004.83 on National Highway 20 from Dong Nai to Lam Dong .
When arriving at Phu Vinh commune (Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai), driver Tinh overtook on the left side and collided with a truck with license plate 60C-345.13 traveling in the same direction ahead. Then, Thanh Buoi passenger car crashed head-on into a 16-seat passenger car with license plate 86B-015.75 driven by Nguyen Van Canh (33 years old, from Binh Thuan ). The collision killed 5 people and injured 4 others.
After the accident, Dinh Quan District Police (Dong Nai) issued a decision to prosecute the case and arrest the driver of Thanh Buoi bus company to continue investigating the act of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".
