Recently, Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited coordinated with the People's Committees of Trung Son, Thanh Son, and Trung Thanh communes (Quan Hoa) to inspect the current status of flood discharge flow from the downstream of Trung Son Hydropower Dam to the upstream of Thanh Son Hydropower Plant.
The field inspection team of the flood discharge flow downstream of Ma River includes Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited and the People's Committees of Trung Son, Thanh Son, and Trung Thanh communes (Quan Hoa).
Field inspections aim to take timely measures to handle violations and encroachments to ensure safe flood discharge, while preventing and limiting damage caused by natural disasters downstream during the 2024 flood season.
Field inspections show that the current flow ensures safe flood drainage, however, some new tents, temporary houses and livestock farms built along the Ma River will not be safe and are prone to landslides during rain and floods, affecting the safety of people's lives and property in the upcoming flood season.

The local authorities have propagated and disseminated to people measures to reinforce and relocate houses from dangerous locations, not to build houses or set up tents in locations prone to landslides along the Ma River, and not to allow water transport vehicles (ships, boats, rafts, etc.) and people within 400m from the downstream of the dam (at Co Me village, Trung Son commune, Quan Hoa district, where there are prohibition signs).
Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited commits to be responsible for complying with the Reservoir Operation Procedure approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, strictly implementing the reservoir operation orders of the Head of the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thanh Hoa province, ensuring flood prevention for downstream areas according to the regulations of the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Ma River basin and implementing notices and warning signals when regulating reservoir floods according to regulations.
Careful preparation and support, close coordination with local authorities in disaster prevention and search and rescue work are the basis for Trung Son Hydropower Plant to operate safely, and perform well in disaster prevention and search and rescue work in 2024.
