On the afternoon of September 30, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a document requesting relevant departments, branches and localities to urgently overcome the consequences of the Thanh Buoi passenger bus driver hitting a 16-seat car on National Highway 20 in Dinh Quan district early the same morning.

The Department of Transport is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, People's Committees of districts, cities and functional agencies of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee to comprehensively inspect the compliance with regulations on business and conditions for business of automobile transport for enterprises, business households with vehicles and people involved in the accident; strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to direct professional units and Dinh Quan District Police to coordinate with relevant agencies to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident. On that basis, strictly handle organizations and individuals who violated traffic safety regulations, leading to the above accident. At the same time, clarify the cause related to the responsibility of collectives and individuals in state management related to the traffic accident.
The Director of the Department of Health was assigned to direct hospitals and related units to concentrate maximum medical staff, medicine, equipment, and medical supplies to treat injured victims; create favorable conditions for families to quickly approach victims in the accident, and carry out procedures related to deceased victims.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport, Provincial Police, Department of Health, District Party Committee, Dinh Quan District People's Committee, and relevant units to promptly organize visits and provide timely support and encouragement to the families of the deceased victims and injured victims in the traffic accident.
In addition, Dong Nai province requested Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration) to closely coordinate with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee, Department of Transport, Provincial Police, and relevant agencies to review traffic infrastructure at the accident site.
Thereby improving the safety of the traffic infrastructure system on National Highway 20 and other national highways in the province, adding guardrails and emergency shelters at steep passes on national highways.
