Mr. Steve Wolstenholme - Chairman and General Director of Hoiana (Duy Xuyen) said that in order to ensure the safety of people in case of storm Tra Mi making landfall, this morning, October 26, the unit quickly coordinated with local agencies to develop a response plan when the storm makes landfall, and provided safe accommodation for people in dangerous areas.
Specifically, Hoiana has arranged 100 rooms with full amenities such as blankets, clean water, daily meals and private bathrooms, and can immediately welcome about 400 people in dangerous areas to evacuate to avoid the storm.
“The safety of our people is always Hoiana’s top priority. We always welcome everyone to take shelter from the storm with the most thoughtful and dedicated preparation. Hoiana will try our best to make people feel secure and comfortable if they have to evacuate,” said Mr. Steve Wolstenholme.
Since its opening, Hoiana has always prioritized and accompanied the locality in social security work, especially in preventing natural disasters and floods. Previously, in 2022, the resort opened its doors to welcome nearly 200 people to avoid storm Noru. In 2023, Hoiana supported nearly 300 million VND to dredge and clear canals, install additional drainage pipes in Tay Son Dong and Tay Son Tay villages, contributing to improving the quality of life for 650 households here.
