Located in Tan Thai commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province, the relic site is not only a symbol of patriotism but also a testament to the development of our country's revolutionary press during the resistance war against French colonialism. Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School was established in 1949 under the direction of President Ho Chi Minh, with the goal of training press cadres for the nation's long-term resistance war.
This was the first journalism school of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, named after the famous patriot Huynh Thuc Khang, whom Uncle Ho once praised as “a man whose wealth did not sway him, whose poverty did not discourage him, whose power did not frustrate him. All his life, Mr. Huynh did not need fame, nor did he need benefits, nor did he want to get rich. All his life, Mr. Huynh only fought for the freedom of the people and the independence of the country.”

During its short period of operation, from April to July 1949, the school organized the first journalism training course with 42 students who were political, military, and journalism cadres, with more than 30 lecturers participating in teaching, who were leaders with rich political experience, rich in theory and practice, and famous cultural activists such as: Truong Chinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Hoang Quoc Viet, Le Quang Dao, and To Huu.
In particular, President Ho Chi Minh directly taught at the school, emphasizing the role of journalism in promoting fighting spirit and building the country. After graduation, students have become key writers of many press agencies or in the country's cultural field.
In 2019, Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School, a "red address" for revolutionary education, was zoned for protection and granted a National Monument Certificate by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the school's founding.

The relic site includes many items such as a memorial stele house, an artifact gallery and a historical landscape reconstruction area. The artifacts here, from pens, printers to press documents, all bear a strong historical mark, helping to vividly recreate the school's learning and working activities.
Not only having historical significance, the relic site is also a place to educate the young generation about patriotism and national pride. This is also a destination that attracts domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to promoting the revolutionary historical image of Thai Nguyen. With great cultural and spiritual value, the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism School Relic Site is a precious heritage, marking the revolutionary spirit and the continuous development of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism.
