Phu Thi Dong residential area, Ho Xa town, Vinh Linh district organized "National Great Unity Day"

This morning, November 3, Phu Thi Dong Residential Area, Ho Xa Town, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province organized the "National Great Unity Day" and "Military-Civilian Cultural Day" to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front November 18 (1930 - 2024). Phu Thi Dong Ward currently has 208 households with 805 people. In the past time, the Party cell committee, executive committee, front and mass organizations have focused on leading and propagating to the people to overcome all difficulties, enhance the will of self-reliance, and strive to exceed the targets of socio-economic development, national defense and security.

Propaganda and mobilization work is regularly carried out; the role of exemplary and prestigious people in building the great national unity bloc is promoted. From there, problems arising in the neighborhood are promptly resolved, land disputes, family conflicts, cases of public disorder and environmental sanitation are reconciled.

The campaign "All people unite to build civilized urban areas" associated with helping each other develop the economy is implemented through practical activities and tasks. People's lives have improved, with average income per capita in 2024 estimated at 58 million VND/person/year. Poor and near-poor households have decreased sharply to 2 poor households and 5 near-poor households by the end of 2023.

Last year, the entire residential area had 203 households recognized as cultural families; 10 households were recognized as typical cultural families. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities were actively implemented, contributing to improving the spiritual life and physical health of the people. Environmental sanitation work ensured brightness, greenness, cleanliness, and beauty. 100% of school-age children went to school; there were no malnourished or drop-out children.

The work of encouraging learning and talent has received attention. The work of implementing democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; supervising and criticizing society; participating in preventing corruption and waste; participating in building a clean and strong Party and government... has been actively implemented. Phu Thi Dong residential area has set many goals and tasks for the coming time; launching emulation campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2025.

Speaking to share joy with the cadres and people of Phu Thi Dong residential area, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board Phan Van Phung emphasized that although it was only established 5 years ago with many difficulties as a starting point, with all efforts, Phu Thi Dong residential area has had a positive change in appearance, and people's lives have been increasingly improved.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee requested the people of Phu Thi Dong ward to continue promoting the achieved results, strengthening consensus and solidarity among the people. Children working far away need attention and support from all resources so that their hometown can perfect the local institutions.

For the Party Committee and the Party cell of the neighborhood, it is necessary to strengthen the fighting spirit, demonstrate their leadership role, take the lead, spread the spirit of solidarity within the Party, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.

Also on this occasion, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee Phan Van Phung and local leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Phu Thi Dong Quarter Cultural House.

After 10 months of construction, the cultural house was completed and handed over in October 2024, with an area of ^​​271m2 , a yard area of ^{​​2,400m2} , a gate fence of 115m2 with a total investment of nearly 3.3 billion VND, including a huge contribution of land, money, property, and working days from the people.

The project has been completed and put into use, bringing joy and excitement to every officer and resident of the entire neighborhood; meeting the need for a place for community activities, entertainment and study of everyone.

On this occasion, the leaders of the province, Vinh Linh district and Ho Xa town presented many gifts to many policy families, poor households and households facing difficult circumstances in Phu Thi Dong residential area. Ho Xa town People's Committee commended and rewarded many outstanding collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing patriotic emulation movements in Phu Thi Dong residential area.
