Ha Tinh city is having strong changes in infrastructure system, urban development, creating vitality, new appearance and assuming well the leading position in socio-economic development of the province.

Speed ​​up progress of strategic and key infrastructure projects

In 2023, Ha Tinh City has identified the general theme of accelerating the implementation of key strategic infrastructure; enhancing digital transformation towards building smart cities; focusing on investing in upgrading landscapes, cultural addresses, entertainment areas to develop tourism, creating momentum to promote trade and service development. This is also the key task in the 5-year plan (2020 - 2025) of the city to strive to become one of the central cities of the North Central region; being the leading unit with the province to realize the goal of becoming a well-off province of the country according to the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hieu - Chairman of the City People's Committee said: "Ha Tinh City is simultaneously implementing key projects on infrastructure development, upgrading drainage systems, and urban space and landscape beautification. The city has effectively utilized policies and resources to implement projects on schedule, connecting national and provincial strategic transport infrastructure investment projects with transport infrastructure projects in the city, creating synchronization, unity and ensuring the general planning. This breakthrough aims to create a premise for the city to expand urban space, open up new directions of development and shift in the construction of urban government; promote investment attraction as well as better mobilize people's contributions to build an increasingly civilized, modern, smart and friendly city".

By the end of September 2023, the city had implemented 30/81 projects as planned, of which 8 projects had been completed and put into use. Many projects and works are truly changing the face, opening up strategies and bringing new vitality to the city such as: the Eastern Ring Road; the project to renovate the road surface, renovate the technical infrastructure of Quang Trung Street from Nguyen Huy Lung Street to Ho Do Bridge and add 1 unit of Ho Do Bridge; the sub-project of the road connecting the DT.550 Ngo Quyen intersection under the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi component project under the North - South Eastern Expressway construction project in the 2021-2025 period.

In addition, there are infrastructure improvement projects such as: upgrading technical infrastructure of roads in the central area, building traffic bays in front of school gates... From now until the end of the year, the locality will continue to thoroughly direct the progress of the projects; focus on site clearance and construction of the projects. It is expected that in October 2023, the city will have 6 more new projects starting construction.

Focus on completing socio-economic targets in 2023

According to the assessment, although the economic recovery situation has encountered many difficulties, thanks to timely solutions, the city has still ensured revenue from land use fees and taxes as planned. The total state budget revenue in the area reached 688 billion VND, equal to 84% of the plan. Production and business activities, civilized urban construction, and new rural construction have improved a lot. The city has organized many urban economic models, cultural events, and new festivals that have attracted the attention of people and contributed to the growth of the trade and service sector such as: Nguyen Du culinary street; agricultural market in Thach Ha commune; boat racing festival; Van Mieu spring festival; Mid-Autumn lantern procession...

The "Thanh Sen Mid-Autumn Lantern Procession" festival not only leaves a good impression on people but also connects and creates new values ​​for the urban economic model - a specialized culinary neighborhood associated with a walking street.

Mr. Nguyen Song Han - Chairman of Thach Ha Commune People's Committee said: "Since the beginning of the year, we have focused on developing agricultural economic models, urban agriculture, gradually realizing the goal of becoming a service area associated with local eco-tourism. Along with that, mobilizing resources to upgrade the infrastructure system, consolidating the criteria of a model new-style rural commune. It is expected that in October, the commune will complete 100% of the target implementation targets for 2023".

Meanwhile, in the communes of Thach Hung, Thach Trung, Dong Mon..., the registered targets for asphalt paving have exceeded. The inner-city wards are speeding up the implementation of urban beautification; renovating sidewalks, curbs, trees, and drainage systems; bundling and burying telecommunication cables on the roads to connect with key and strategic traffic infrastructures that are being deployed.

In the last 3 months of the year, along with key and strategic tasks and projects, Ha Tinh City will focus on the planning of wards, communes and areas; adjusting plans; thoroughly resolving problems related to the transformation of the State management model in all fields, especially urban economic models, land acquisition and compensation... creating a solid foundation for the city to enter a new development stage.
