This morning (November 4), the Francophone University Organization (AUF) and Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine signed a framework agreement on cooperation to develop the Francophone University Cooperation Space (EIF) in Ho Chi Minh City.

This space is located at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine - the school founded by the late professor Duong Quang Trung, one of the first pillars of the Francophone Scientific Community in Asia-Pacific.

The Francophone University Cooperation Space includes two specialized departments of AUF: the FrancophoneEducational Technology Center (CNF) 5.0 and the Francophone Career Center (CEF). The CNF 5.0 Center is one of the strong pillars of AUF in supporting member organizations in applying information and communication technology to education (generally called educational technology), from learning to teaching, training, research or even university administration.

Meanwhile, the CEF Center is an important activity in AUF's strategic orientation for the 2021-2025 period, aiming to enhance the ability to find output jobs and develop the entrepreneurial spirit for graduates.

Regarding this issue, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hiep, Rector of Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine, shared: "Although specializing in the field of health, our university also faces challenges in terms of employment and career opportunities for graduates. A space like this at the school will be very useful for us." Furthermore, Associate Professor, Dr. Hiep also believes that in this digital age, the use of information and communication technology is inevitable in all activities of students, lecturers and administrators.

The Francophone University Association (AUF), founded more than 60 years ago, is now the world's largest university network with more than 1,000 members: universities, colleges and research centers in nearly 120 countries. AUF works to build a Francophone university community committed to contributing to the economic , cultural and social development of countries and localities. The organization is present in 10 regions around the world, including the Asia-Pacific region.
